  1. These games were always #1 to play when we got all our friends together as kids, either trying to co-op the game on legendary and switching off between deaths, or playing deathmatch on a map that we forged over months… good times

  2. Always throw grenades first. They are the most abundant source of damage. The energy grenades stick to enemy's aswell. Also the Standard pistol has high headshot damage like the sniper rifle.

  3. Bungie themselves said Heroic was the designed difficulty.
The issue your having is that each release of Halo added fundamental new features, starting at 1 and ending with reach. Starting at Reach is not ideal as you have so many features to use and understand. Then when you follow up with 1 and 2 they feel like simpler less complex games, which they obviously were. I think release order results in the least amount of iteration whiplash. Seems like your getting used to it though so hopefully you go on to enjoy the story as much as i did.
The music is divine. Marty O'Donnell and Mike Salvatori are gods amongst men, shout out to Steve Vai too represented by the epic guitar riffs.
That comment about difficulty affecting ammo is dog btw, at most it costs more ammo to take things down. Ammo isn't directly modified in the manner specified unless the 'famine skull' is active, which it is not by default.

  4. You know who you are, the useless waste of space that I'm addressing now. I deleted your comment, so that fans of this channel won't start useless arguments with you.

  5. One of the best games ever made.

    Also, edit, with lore:

All of Noble team were child soldiers. Jorge is a Spartan 2, like Master Chief. The rest are Spartan 3s, orphaned children who volunteered for the Spartan program, many at age 6. These characters are 17-19 years old, except Jorge, who is around 45 years old.

  7. You are doing great on Heroic. I feel like part of the fun is dying and trying again.
About the graphics for the next two games:
-For CE I would personally recommend the original graphics because the newer ones are overdetailed and break the tone that Bungie was trying to set.
-For Halo 2 I recommend the newer graphics because they are done extremely better and more faithful to the original. Also the remastered cutscenes are beautiful.

  9. @Oxhorn A few tips:
    (1) You can't reload plasma pistols or plasma rifles. If you pick up a plasma rifle and it says "51", that's not the number of shots… that's a percentage. It tells you how much charge is remaining.
    (2) Don't forget to check the walls for human weapons. They won't be lying on the floor unless they dropped from a dead human, they will be in weapon racks on the walls (or in special drop pods).
    (3) You can swap weapons with any marine. They have unlimited ammo as long as there is at least one round in the gun, so you can wait until you're down to one round, then give it to a marine and take his weapon.
    (4) In regards to lore, in Reach there are two, and only two, data pads on each map. Most of the "lore" comes from the dialogue.
    (5) DESPITE what everyone is saying about "Play Halo 1 with classic graphics", if you want to find the lore they added to the game… don't. The terminals with the lore (one per level) doesn't appear in classic graphics.

… oh, and (6) NEVER let Kat drive. (The other members of Noble team aren't much better but at least they don't drive in circles.)

  10. Reach is definately my favorite HALO game in the series, even though you don't end up playing master chief. The gameplay is great and the story is really captivating. You're going to have fun with this Ox.
Can't wait to see you tackle HALO 1 though. It may be an old game but it holds up.

  12. Just a suggestion for next time but if you see the bubble shield GRAB IT! It is by far the BEST armor ability on higher difficulties and will heal you whenever you activate it, not only providing some cover but also acting like a portable med kit! But it ultimately is up to you how you want to play but because you are new you'd want to keep a drop shield whenever you can.
