All the mat did was teach the dogs how to avoid pain, and not in the way the owners wanted. Pain isn’t an effective training tool, as an intelligent animal can find ways around it.

If you have a dog endangering people in the pool, just leave the dog inside the house or tie him up🙄 No need to not have people coming over😂. And no wonder the dogs jump over the mat with only a bit of it exposed🤦♂️. In general such a mat is not a bad idea but it needs to have a setting for very low voltage so it only tingles when touched. Dogs are very sensitive under their paws so a high voltage is not needed at all. Of course, proper training is best, but lets be realistic… so many people get dogs that dont know simple training methods or cant be bothered to train their dogs at all🙄 If such mat came with a proper instruction to teach the dog to respect the mat and see it as a boundary but not be afraid of it, then i cant see a problem. Same with electric collars. They have their place in certain areas (like the farming industry) to, for example, stop an overeager dog to use their teeth on a sheep (its wanted with cattle but not with sheep or goats) or get a dog with too much eye (for the people not knowing this term, its when a dog stares down a sheep and kinda freezes) out of its hyperfocussed state. Its impossible to do this from a distance as sheep cant be worked with a dog being on a leash. Such collars have various settings of which the best is a tone only. These collars are not supposed to be used to punish a dog but are a training tool to be able to work a dog at a distance, because not all herding dogs are perfect natural sheep workers, most of them need to be trained to be so. Training starts with a tone only while NOT at work, getting the dogs attention when the tone appears. If no luck, a tingling sensation is supposed to get the dogs attention. Up the increments go until a sweet spot is found when the dog reacts to the stimulus. This is when the dog gets praised. Its a normal training process to get a dog used to an electric collar and its not supposed to be painfull. So dont crucify certain training tools just because they are bought by people that dont know how to use them properly. In the wrong hands, even a simple leash and collar can hurt a dog

Lol 😂 a little extreme don’t you think? I love going over to my friends when they were using an shock Matt. I would use it for my feet it felt like a massage. It vibrates no shock. Lol 😂 Victoria doesn’t like Suff that vibrates or shock. Not even beeping or spray. All of these tools are bad for dogs. Lol 😂 please.

I just LOVE how this video demonstrate Just how FAST dogs “Get” things if u ACTUALY take the time to “ TEACH” them!! Victoria is Waaaay more Graceful than I am! Why aren't the people getting shocked through their feet? Victoria put her hand down and got shocked. The one woman had bare feet on the mat. How is she not getting shocked?
