Overwatch 2 Moira Hero Rework! – NEW ABILITY "Weaken"

Moira has undergone Rework iterations in Overwatch 2 and currently has a new Ability Weaken that reduces the damage or healing an enemy can output. The Overwatch 2 devs explain how they’ve arrived to the latest version of Moira, while there is no promise of this specifically coming into the 2nd Beta upcoming, its all but confirmed that some Support reworks will be included, perhaps this one if it is far enough along by then. 1. So let me get this….Overwatch is dead now?? So the only updates are for a beta release that is not even out for the public yet? LIke wtf? You are behind Blizzard's moves jusy because they give you some money. What is this constant update of ow 2? Who the fk plays it?? All the player base is still playing overwatch 1…so who cares about ow 2 updates? Is this an advertising scheme of blizzard to advertize their new DLC?? Stop supporting this ffs…we had this channel as the only communication port between ow players and the company…but as it seems you just dont care either…. Disgusting

  2. Every one keeps sucking off overwatch 2 when really all that they've done is removed a tank. Its overwatch with a new meta but everyone is acting like its a new game. Im done with this game and the devs. The devs are just winging it at this point. Throw whatever at the wall and hope it sticks. Great way to balance a game.

  3. Yo did y'all now moira is 50(48 actually) this is unrelated to video but those nano machines (Armstrong would be proud) do work I need some. Reaper is older too (58).

  4. Can we remove like one or two selfheals from moira? she has the ow2-passive, the rightclick selfheal, the healorb, and the ult. why would one hero need so much selfheal?

  5. During the beta for Overwatch 2 we noticed that the tank role was no longer the least queued for role, so to solve this problem we created weaken. Now when played with Ana tank players can't heal, move, or deal damage. This is all ok though because they need to land a "skillshot" on the broadside of a barn at point blank range in order to trigger these effects.

  6. I feel like OW2 beta was a missed opportunity for Moira. Also it sounds like all the rework ideas keep her orbs… why not rework her to have different mechanics?…

  7. This feels like news from 2019-2020. 4 years or more after the “announcement “ and we get pre-alpha information. When this game comes out i will be destroyed by arthritis because of old age.

  8. I think if the game worked more like WoW dungeons where the supports are enabling with buffs rather then debuffing the enemy it would be interesting to see how games would go.

  9. They could've used that lingering heal aura from Moira's spray for the "pain converter". Essentialy, when the enemy is taking damage while being healed, they would take around 20% less damage and Moira's heal gauge would spike 10% up with each tick with a 1 second cooldown (otherwise it would be endless under a barrage or rapid fire)

  10. Apply weaken upon fading through an enemy perhaps? Like the old cleanse status effect or group fade they thought up for Moira. It'd take a bit of skill to do and you'd be vulnerable afterwards since it takes away your movement.

  11. I know all yall PC players wont get this. But Moira ruined my entire experience on console, she was so incredibly easy to play and did constant damage in all directions that was super difficult to deal with on console. If she is too strong and a staple pick I will literally never return to this game I hope they can make her feel less broken on Console.

  12. the thing is overwatch died when they started focusing on catering the game to pro players. when everwatch launched they focused on the game being fun to play. i was like a game of chess 1 hero hard countered another hero completely. now you might aswell remove the ability to switch heros

  13. I think weaken could work well being added to Moria’s primary. After 3 secs of being attached on an enemy, weaken would proc and last for 1.5 secs after primary detached. Maybe even working with the damage orb too, but it would take longer to proc if multiple people are being hit by the orb. A good way to balance this ability would be to lessen morias damage output for both her primary and damage orb.

  14. i hate to say this but as a moira main i dont like the idea of changing her, taking her abilities away whatever they may be will in my mind take away from her, which is a bad thing ofc because as she is moiras playstyle and such is perfect, i hate the idea of taking away her abilities, fade is so fucking fun to use and jump around with, her orbs provide fun in terms of trickshots and overall just usage, and her ult is great to use and can prove very useful if timed well, i dont like the idea of changing anything about her and weaken doesnt sound like it fits with the kinda hero she's built up to be today, idk i might be wrong but i pray to god she doesnt lose any of her abilitys cause it would in my opinion ruin the character for me, i however do think if they simply add weaken to her primary and dont take anything away, it could be a lot more welcomed in my mind

  15. every single one of her abilities requires a minimal amount of skill, it was either lock on, or a giant hitbox. I hope this rework ups her skill floor at least a little
