  1. This could've been promoted as something along the lines of Overwatch – Chapter 2 to signify a shift instead of labeling it as a full fledged sequel. So far it doesn't seem like Overwatch 2 is living up to the "2" in the title. The PVE will have to do tons of heavy lifting and really impress.

  2. Valve: Makes L4D2
Community: Worries it's just dlc being sold as a second game.
Valve: Explains they added a second campaign, new infected, a more complex zombie damage system, new weapons and item, weapon upgrades and more game modes, to justify the price tag and the reason they made it a second game, they also add the content from L4D1 into L4D2 so people can play everything, with all the improvements. 20$ Please.
    Community: Fair enough.

    Acti-Blizzard:Makes Overwatch 2
Community: Worries it's just dlc being sold as a second game.
Acti-Blizzard: Changed time of day for existing maps, added more co-op missions, added a level up system to the co-op mode, added another map and character to the game (Which they already did regularly in Overwatch 1), lowered the number of players in a match. 40$ Please.

  3. I've been saying this for years….even long before OW2 was announced. OW2 looks ass and completely obsolete. OW is still good and they should've just continued supporting it.

  4. Sad thing is, overwatch has been chasing TF2's gameplay since it released but they refused to learn any lessons from TF2's balancing. Who would have thought that dumping a shit ton of abilities that make players feel uselss is a BAD thing? Oh yeah, valve guessed that. They guessed that 15 years ago.

  5. well what did people expect? call of duty went on for years with the same game just different graphics and people still paid for it, now it's not ok anymore? what's wrong? not enough graphic padding ? how much can you expect from games where you run around with a smg ? can't put snipers because babies cry about camping, can't put shotgun because babies cries about too powerful gun, now babies don't enjoy running around with their smg anymore ?

That's a bit disingenuous there. As someone that has played the closed beta I will agree with most of the criticisms about the game but you really need to give full context and do more research before posting these, it's a common thing I've seen from your content to provide surface level analysis of your reporting. In this case, the game had closed beta key drops through twitch which will obviously inflate numbers by a ridiculous amount. Obviously after the beta ends, people will stop watching as well.

  7. This move of releasing OW2 is such an Activision move. Blizzard is really just Activision part B and they’re not even good at it. Their games require actual effort to balance and with Activision part B being run by Activision people they’ll never spend actual time trying to figure out how to balance their game properly. The shriveled corpse of Blizzard just needs to disappear. They’ve completely destroyed their fan base

  8. So the PVE aspect to be added on the sequel has been forgotten or removed? That was the only reason for me to start playing Overwatch 2 as I am not a PVP player.

  9. This defintely feels like an Overwatch "Blizzard realised they were losing interest, and thought 'I know let's cobble together a cheaply-made patch and rebrand it as a new major title to drum up support!'" release.

  10. Although, revealing it was going to be a free-to-play game means that it will be a nice addition to a love of gamers libraries, especially if you skipped Overwatch initially. I can't find myself hating this game. Microsoft hopefully will do right by it.

  11. This is basically “hey guys. So. Overwatch is old. We need a new engine HERES A SEQUEL!” Thats why its gotta be free. They should have just straight up DELETED overwatch, and just launched overwatch 2 as new overwatch. With pve mode being the fresh fresh to keep people happy who want anything new atleast.

  12. Original Overwatch for all its popularity had some fundamental issues, heroes were not "specialized" enough causing many heroes being useless as they cant really excel at their given role, map design being too linear most of the time causing choke point fights that make a lot of hero abilities either useless or overpowered and being a boring gameplay in general as almost every map is just one or two big choke point fights, bad matchmaking system that would cause people who play dps being artificially higher on mmr ladder than people who play tanks or support causing teams to be unbalanced with support-tank players having more game experience than dps players that would cause frustration and loss of a match. Overwatch 2 could fix all these issues and spark a huge return of a game, but instead it seems to be just a quick cashgrab, if original Overwatch problems would be fixed there would be no need for Overwatch 2 as game would generate even higher profits, as I understand a lot of $ went into forcing the game into competitive scene (which we know never works, as many games before Overwatch tried it and failed) as well as making new heroes (and ofcourse cosmetics for them) which is another problem because why would make a new hero if you have like 10 others who are useless because of bad balance ? fix useless ones before adding new ones and it would make game so much more enjoyable in its variety.

  13. I think it was brought up on another channel, but the entire reason for Overwatch 2 has nothing to do with gameplay, graphics, story, non nada. It's about monetization, they wholeheartedly regret they sold Overwatch as a "boxed product", course then you have to work harder for sustained income. That's why OW2 is going to live service and F2P. It's all about the money.

  14. Man game critics are so annoying. Bunch of bots complaining about not many new characters in a game that already has way too many to properly balance. This game isn’t Smash Bros. It has a league. It’s trying to be competitive. 5 new characters a year is not viable anymore

  15. unfortunately I belong to a rather large discord server with one member who loves the OW franchise so much she outright has stated she refuses to believe Blizzard is in any kind of wrong.

worse off, she lives in Europe, born and raised, and is attending expensive college schooling though I am unsure what field.

and she already is trying desperately to spew that OW2 is 10/10 and people need to just "Stop harassing" blizzard so they can finish it.
