According to vaatvidya this orb that increases stats makes you take 1-2 points of extra damage, which is a good tradeoff for 20 stat points.
Maybe it is not as good in the late game where damage numbers are higher and your stats are also higher

I want to be clear I'm not calling him bad or anything like that, but I think it's funny that Asmon uses the horse in combat, yet won't use summons. They're both equally "part of the game", so I wonder what his thoughts are on the difference
I get Asmon. It's satisfying to go through the game with only the claymore. I never liked over-sized weapons, and using magic and status procs feels like cheating.

I watched people struggle with places I've blazed through easily. I've struggled with places other people have had no trouble with. God damn this game is amazing!
Wtf he's level 80, and in Caelid? Like yeah, he should be OP as hell, how long did he spend grinding levels??
I did part of Caelid after being teleported from the bottom area (Weeping Peninsula) at level 30ish, and was only level 60ish when I killed Radahn… I'm just level 88 after clearing Liurnia and doing all of Ranni's questline.
Ive checked the interactive map after I think I cleared areas to make sure, so I'm fairly sure I'm at least 95%+ on clearing everything in the first 4 areas: done all the Erdtrees, dragons, Evergaols, pvp-ed and even grinded what I thought was a fair amount myself.
Did he find Ranni yet?

People can't get over the Asmongold is already a souls player. He played all the games and has put more than 200 hours if not more in all of them. And he did some re reruns trying to do a deathless run.
Ppl should just accept the fact that he is a good souls player, despite being stubborn about his playstyle.

Elden rings my first souls-like game (i have played fallen order but that doesn’t really count) and i do use both gold and normal summons and i do not feel bad about it. when i beat a boss i get hyped wether or not i use summons. Maybe i won’t another play through.
