Overnight in an Off-Grid Treehouse – 50 ft in the air!

I spent the night “camping” in this off-grid treehouse built 50 feet off the ground! That’s a little over 15 meters for my metric friends! Located half an hour outside the trendy mountain town of Asheville, NC, this treehouse tiny home in the Blue Ridge Mountains might just be one of the greatest and most unique overnight experiences I have ever had. Could this be the best treehouse stay in America?! It might be for the stunning views alone…

This video is part two in a series of videos I’ll be making throughout this year that I’m calling Inside/Outside, USA! I’ll be exploring off-grid cabins, earthships, yurts, tiny homes and other alternative camping spaces that invite the outdoors in!

Check out part one in the series where I stayed in a giant potato tiny home in Idaho: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwrwWchnCy4&t=27s

This channel will always be primarily about backpacking, hiking and traditional tent camping, but I’m excited to bring videos about these non-traditional camping stays to my channel to show how many unique and wonderful ways there are for anyone to get outside! 💚

  1. And Off Ground too! Excellent view of the Port-a-potty too, eh? I'm thinking the Pee Pot is fine as long as you don't have a problem with Giardia. Hey, where's the shower? The Fire Pit looks more like Paul Bunyon's gold pan. That is an epic tree house for sure, but I wonder if tree huggers everywhere are in mourning? Looks awesome at night too, like a stairway to Heaven! I thought your hair actually looked great down earlier. Thanks for sharing this adventure and for the trip back to our tree houses from childhood!!

  2. So cool!! This place was gorgeous in video — I’m sure it was STUNNING in person!
I definitely would’ve had trouble stepping out onto that deck, too. Heights are not my fave 😅
((Side note — I love everything you’re wearing in this episode!))

  3. Take a video about this , The world is now ruled by one community of people, the world Satanic elite, you can also call them the committee to meet the Antichrist and prevent the 2nd coming of Jesus, Trump called them the deep state, at the moment it consists of about 10,000 people, the main ones there are Rockefellers, Rothschilds, Windsors, Baruchs, they, their ancestors, descendants and other people who enter there have the mark of Lucifer, which, if they bring the antichrist and do not allow the 2nd coming, they will receive eternal life after the x hour, and the rest of humanity, for all the time that they have lived, they won't get anything, so all people should know about the existence of a world government (Jesus who was a The Prophet of God, not God.God will send Jesus as a reward to humanity, if humanity deserves it, for this it is necessary to fight Lucifer and his elite)

  4. The fact that this place isn't expensive at all and it gives this type of experience is amazing! I could feel the peace you were experiencing. Thank you Miranda & Team for making videos at realistic and affordable vacation spots!! Can't wait to see where else you'll be staying!!

  5. I thought for sure she was gonna hang out some underwear to dry. That's a little sketchy for me. Must be fun in windy conditions. Girl, ya should go to Georgia's islands and do a sleep over, tour, bike ride.

  6. Amazing as always.

I really feel you are one of the most relatable personalities I have ever seen!

The first I saw was when you were under REI doing product demonstrations and reviews. Quite traditional and straight laced but still Miranda.

Next was MIW where I got to see "Miranda Unleashed!" And wow what an amazing personality! Still informative but everything really stuck well. Just so much fun while still educational.

Now your own project. I can't describe it well. Not as "business like" as early REI and not as wild as the MIW but just amazing. Just seems so "normal" and "real" (all were real, but hope you get my point",

I don't and can't have a favorite as every one was you. You are the show. While there are other excellent and special youtubers on hiking and such, I have to admit I keep coming back you and your approach as my favorite!

Thank you for being you. Thank you for what you share with us. And thank your team for their amazing work. While I would love to see all of your team more, I have to respect Ranier and his decision to keep the focus on you.

  7. I'm so conflicted about treehouse because obviously they're incredible but I always feel bad for the trees and the added weight they have, the possible stunted growth from it, and the damage of nails and such. I may have watched Ferngully too much as a kid. || I love that you lost your fear of the height as soon as you started being an ass to make the place sway. || Yes! Please do start to incorporate local hiking into these videos!
