  1. 0:14:52 – There are some reasons to watch others stream a game instead of playing it oneself. 😉
0:17:33 – Matara and Mint don't like to quit too soon on even bad and uninteresting games. 🥱
0:34:01 – Sker Ritual is a multiplayer FPS follow-up to the horror adventure, Maid of Sker. Same series, but two very different games. 💥🔫
0:42:11 – Matara talks about the loss of surprise when streaming a game that one has already played. 😐
0:45:03 – Games with bad graphics are still worth streaming as long as they have funny or other interesting content. 😂
    0:54:31 – Mint partly spoils Firewatch's story. 🤫
    0:57:39 – Is this a stinky or a sexy fetish? 👣
0:57:51 – FMV (full-motion video) games. Related graphics techniques from that era are also used in the original Mortal Kombat. 🎥
1:04:20 – Riven is a follow-up to Myst, a wildly popular adventure game in the 1990s. Detractors call it "Pyst." 🤣
1:08:51 – Grim Fandango is directed by Tim Schafer, who is also responsible for the far more widely known Psychonauts. 💀
1:15:35 – I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream is an adventure game based on the book by Harlan Ellison. 😱
Thank you for the podcast, Mint and Matara! 🌿👻🪳

  2. I recently played blasphemous and really enjoyed it, its like a dark souls inspired metroidvania and with a really cool aesthetic and saw its on sale 75% off. I would highly recommend it stinky

  3. Mata, Stellaris is a great game but no way you're gonna learn it in 3 12 hour streams (not an insult, it's just that complicated) I got at least 3 days since the last major update and still play mid at best😅 Hope you enjoy it tho and look forward to seeing you play
Ps the dlcs add a lot of cool things to the game

  4. So, as far as the 'she's so dense' comment 1: I hope that guy steps on a Lego on his birthday. 2: Everyone's brains work differently. People usually consider me fairly smart and I have a bit of a thing for problem-solving and coming up with solutions on the fly etc….but as a big fan of the Danganronpa franchise I can tell you right now I am the world's WORST DETECTIVE. I had to use guides for some of the trials because my brain just got a terminal case of stoopid. ESPECIALLY combining that with streaming at the same time? Yeah, chat needs to shut it.

Also also, BIG excited to see Mint play Doom Eternal and Boltgun. I'm not great at FPS (played the second half of Doom Eternal on easy baby mode lol) but it was very fun.

Also, when Matara said about Metal Gear ''I'd have to play it for like 12 hours'' you could just hear Mint's inner monologue saying ''and this is a problem because….''

  5. Pseudoregalia is the best game I played in a long, long time. Buy it! I also bought Corn Kidz 64, only game I got on this sale, been wanting to play it for a while now so I'm excited!

  6. For VN recommendations I would say The Zero Escape trilogy (First 2 games for 10$ and the 3rd for 5$) and maybe Chaos;child (I was gonna buy it today because I heard its really good and its 8$ with 60% off)

  7. For stinky point and click puzzle games, I'd recommend the Monkey Island games and the Sam and Max games.

Note: Appreciation of stinky humour and Acme Corp-style problem solving mandatory.

P.S: Yeah, backseaters in puzzle games stinks (not irony).

  8. For games to get this sale, I'd recommend both Celeste and The Final Station to anyone.
They both have great pixel art, music and level design.

TFS has a great atmosphere/sfx for a storydriven survivor horror.

Celeste's movement system is unmatched in its depth, feel and precision.

For party games with friends I could recommend Duck Game and Speedrunners.

I've heard good things about Carrion, and think it might fit you gal's style.

  9. For Matara: Manor Lords (in depth medieval city builder) and Oxygen Not Included (silly scifi colony builder from the Don't Starve guys).

For Mint: Unmetal (metal gear solid point and click parody) and Citizen Sleeper (cyberpunk mostly text based rpg/visual novel)

For both: Synthetik or Synthetik 2 (top down roguelike shooters like Enter the Gungeon, but more tactical and with real guns and headshots and active reloads). They have online Co-op too so you can play them together.

  10. BTW MINT about the pirate game you were talking about, could it be "Tradewinds 2"?, I loved that game as a kid, just sailing and selling goods between cities while fighting pirates and upgrading your ships

cant find it on steam tho

  11. Mint you gotta try Touhou Luna Nights. it's a metroidvania where you play as Sakuya and you get to use her time stopping powers in really cool ways. it's a loooooot easier than the old Koumajou Remilia games too

  12. I got only a handful of games I bought and never played, tho I only plan to make that list longer with more games I want and have no time to play.
For a game recommendation, I got sailwind, simple cargo transporting sailing game but its physics based sailing and cargo weight balancing. Game isn’t very stinky but it is super early access & all that.
    HASG All yall

  13. Thank you for the podcast this week as well!! I don't have much recommendation when it come to game so I will answer another question instead. I haven't really play game (except for gacha games) since I became working adult in the harsh society? Well, right now I kind of spend time doing my hobby, so I don't have time to play game but it's less sad lol

  14. Another great pod to relax to while working!
As for summer sale recs I'll always vouch for Umurangi Generation and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. Both super stylized with chill vibes and amazing soundtracks!
Same goes for Sludge Life 1 and 2, games where you explore an oil rig/island with a vibe so mired in stink you can almost taste it!
