We love playing Satisfactory and decided to make costumes from the video game for Dragon Con! Bill 3D modeled the helmet, then 3D printed and assembled all the pieces. The helmets have visors, lights, and even a cooling fan!

Thank you for your artistry, it really is a wonderful experience watching you create, inspire, and entertain.
Some day I need to model and print the Alien space helmet.
Love the shirt #MarriotCarpetCult
Just a suggestion for the vinyl wrap on the visors – try heating the vinyl until it starts to droop, similar to vacuum forming. This will make it so the vinyl will fit around a curved surface a bit better, without having to stretch it after it's already applied. Just a thought. These turned out fantastic!
You don't think about the amount of work that goes into props/costumes.
Those helmets are absolutely awesome ๐
you probably know this but removing supports on resin is a LOT easier if you do it before the final cure (and hot water bath will make it even cleaner to remove again)
SPACERS!!!! Shoutout to Ivan Miranda!
Awesome build!
Impressive. Your prop design and patience has really paid off. Papa Ted is probably watching this and grinning ear to ear.
awesome stuff – what is the accelerant you use?
How good is the Anycubic? Was thinking of getting one for making Minis and terrain for D&D and small prop making.
If you are wanting glue all the parts aligned together like a puzzle and are putting so much work in it why aren't you going the extra mile and do some mortas and tenen on the seam like in Clip parquet to easy up the alignment? I mean you didn't though it to much through didn't ya?
It's stupid to glue electrics prey that those LEDs don't ware out of that will be a pice of garbage that you wasted time on
Sorry we missed ya there this year, maybe next!
that looks quite awesome
Currently I'm using Fusion 360 for a welding CAD/CAM class.
I like polygons, curves can go to hell.
Could you make a bumble bee helmet from the transformers that would be cool to see and have voice activated on it and lights and everything
I remember playing satisfactory before pipes existed. Barrels just went down the belts.
i thought this was ingame tbh. that's how good this looks
shut up and take my money
Where did you find the visor?
I don't think anyone could make it better
Among us has ruined my perception
What's going on with this abs print quality, oh man
im sure some people would love to see some gundam props
seeing Laszlo and Nandor at 44:54 made my day a little bit, but WOW the work you did on this build looks fantastic! lots of love went into it, I can tell
โฆโฆ.irritatingly good, guys!
Tamiya paint is killer. I'm using their clear smoke to add some distress to helmets.
bro i clicked on this video thinking the thumbnail was the drip among us
would it make sense to put registration nubs / grooves at the edges to make the abs "glue up" go better?
DragonCON!!!!
I didn't even think about making the player from satisfactory. I am still very much a beginner in sewing and haven't even touched prop making. Great inspiration to look up to
I'm surprised you went with 80 grit on the orbital. I would have thought that would take off too much too fast.
I recently learned another great technique for joining 3d printed parts. You can put a bit of filament in the chuck of a dremel, turn it on, and use it to "paint" over the seams. The friction between the spinning filament and the printed surface will melt both just a little bit, and leave something that looks exactly like a welded metal seam. It's super strong and the subtle welded texture really helps your brain convince itself that it's looking at a real piece of equipment.
Great GAME, great printjob, great 3d-modeling! ๐๐๐
i always love your videos you always make it so achievable looking i'm doing to do something like this at one point ๐
You guys are amazing!!! Everything turned out so nice!
I can confirm, the Anycubic Photon printers are extremely impressive, especially for their relative price. I expect they are a bit slower than a DLP based SLA printer because there's going to be some light leak through the LCD limiting the UV light source brightness, but it's hard not to recommend if you want to try out resin printing.
Really awesome result!
Did you ever think of trying out Space Engineers? My endorsement of this game has nothing to do with me wanting you to make 3D files of the space suits, I promise๐ค
what's the teal putty they use at 7:19?
I was scrolling through YouTube and saw another satisfactory video. Then I saw the channel name and immediately thought โwell Iโm watching that.โ Well done on the build
you had peg holes but didnt use them
