Well Done Network Rail!
Will you be converting the Turbostars to cleaner fuel?
Good news
How green is a railway where a platform is inaccessable for wheelchair users or people who have a hard time walking up stairs who then have to travel miles in the wrong direction to be able to safely get to the platform they originally wanted?
I think it might have been slightly greener by now had the network been fully electrified about a century ago when it was very possible.
Hydrogen trains is the best solution to cut CO2 emissions and new electric, Bi-mode/Tri-mode, hybrid and battery-electric trains to replace existing electric and diesel trains. As well as electrification on major lines such the Midland Main Line to cities in the East Midlands.
Weren't Scotland supposed to be Net Zero by 2035?
