Take your time and enjoy.
You will never have another BG3 first.
More than an hour in character creation… This game really has something for everyone.

Okay, the Dark Urge thing: I was told not to pick it for my first playthrough. I did it anyway and I loved every moment of it. Playing a character who struggled to reject the evil within hurt me in all the best ways.
The caveat here is that you will face some very dark things. As a dark urge character, you were unambiguously a villain in your past, and the writing pulls very few punches when showing you the consequences of this.
