Was a fan of Oswald as an NPC back in Red Ash. But now I was happy I put faith in him. He was the true hero alongside Anderson and our Commander later on.
And for Cinderella; She has been my favorite NIKKE since her first PV showing. I’m so happy she got such an amazing story and a good ending. Not only is she alive and well, but now she stays with our Commander. With all of us. She is my favorite NIKKE, always has been and always will. ❤️

Its wild that Nikke was able to make a more compelling character that was inspired by Oz from Wizard of Oz than RWBY did with Ozpin.

Oswald is definitely a character i wished to be expanded upon after Overzone, even now there is still a lot left in the dark on his role within the ark.

I can't just believe how Shift Up/ Nikke dev team keeps delivering such good stories for us the players, making our worldview expand to understand more of this universe they have in hands leaving us with more to discover while we all go through this journey.
With Oswald I have to say I wasn't entirely mad at him at first due in OVERZONE I thought he was like a robot with AI just saying the orders he was given, so I'm glad what they showed us about him so far and man I WOULD LOVE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM, maybe if we're lucky in another past event or in a new story chapter unraveling his legacy for both mankind and the goddesses I FREAKING LOVE THIS GAME BROS
I like to believe Oswald tested every single Nikke he came across, broke the rules if the person actually did something to impress them.
With Red Hood she literally forced corruption to get the fuck out which impressed him a ton, enough that it left him an impression forever of her and he had nothing but respect for her.
With Dorothy, he put her in a pretty horrible situation, but instead of continuing to be a radiant goddess like Red Hood she broke, uttered insults at Oswald and told him she'd kill her entire family, she completely failed and therefore confirmed to Oswald she wasn't quite there as a goddess.
With Cinderella, she was dealt an even WORSE hand, yet remained steadfast in wanting to help humanity as much as she could and even went to try to kill the Queen if she could, she didn't even addressed Red Shoes in any bad ways, simply said she had to be killed to prevent further damage on the side of humanity. Oswald again impressed, decided to break the rules in order to help Cinderella, he hoped for this outcome deep down and he got it, even wiped the slate clean in order to help them have a proper chance at rewriting their story.
TLDR, Red Hood and Cinderella passed the vibe check and Dorothy failed hard.
the ark hides something dark, i believe that acting like a bad guy with the goddess squad, save them from the ark. i believe that the central goverment was going to "scrap" the surviving goddess
he helped red hood, help abe, cinderella, and the other grimm models.
he send food and supplies to the goddess squad.
for now he is in the good side.

As someone who played Nikke very off and on without getting the full story, I didn't know Oswald. All I knew was that he was "the guy that told the goddess squad they couldn't go to the ark" and that was it. I didn't know that he was in Red Ash cause I never played the event. Now that I finished Old Tales, I first saw Oswald as another obstacle. Another antagonist, since all I knew was that he was apparently a bad dude. I was wrong. Oswald is W mans I fw Oswald, he's the realest officer in the Ark I hope he's doing well (probably not given this happened like 100 years before main story, right?).
Also Cinderella is my favorite Nikke now she's beautiful(pun not really intended but also intended) and also super strong, I love her. What a great event.
I always knew that Oswald wasn't the bad guy. He was just another soldier following orders, facing terrible predicaments during what was most likely (and still is) mankind's extinction event.

When Oswald first appeared in Overzone, I knew he was a man who was just carrying out orders and nothing more. I didn't expect him to be such a pivotal character in the story. Now I'm interested in other side characters who are framed to have main story significance, mainly Freesia.

No I think he save them by locking them out they were goin to kill or memory wipe the nikkes so he act secretly on his own to keep them out and maybe he even met Lilith and legendary commander and promise her to protect the goddess
Holy shit, I just played the crsis within the ark part of the story, and now that dialog makes so much sense, about that certain someone who created the statue of the goddesses and made their legend……. ma man oswald is truly him, hope to see more of him in the future

Replaying Overzone and Red Ash with the way I know Oswald now makes me feel, he tried his best, but was forced to turn his back on his idols. Very sad.

We all know about the "Legendary commander." But Oswald is the Legendary GOAT.
When humanity was lost and moral throw away, he was the only one to remain human, giving not only hope for the future, but a legacy to follow. He not only took the front of it all, but he did gladly so. Not matter how powerless he must had felt, he did everything and beyond what was is in is power.
The only thing I can say is; Oswald, I hope you are resting in peace, see you on the other side, brother.
Tbh I owe Oswald a huge apology for despising him in Overzone but the moment i saw him in red ash i was nervous about what hed do but then when he showed Red Hood the respect that she earned and was due despite she had episodes of corruption he still believed in her, and then everything he tried to do and did do for Old Tales, Oswald, I most sincerely apologize for my per-conceived notions of you.

I don't owe an apologise to him. Instead, I believe he need kneel and give huge apologies to dorothy. His action thru old tale and red ash was successfully to goddess squad gen 2 and red hood. But the message of his intention didn't share to dorothy teams. They are left to die. Imagine dorothy had force take leadership role, then watching sw mind swipe twice , watch the team crumble from inside. That lvl hated is nothing compare to cinderella which able to redemption. Plus dorothy is now slowly corrupted from inside thru feeling and despise (not thru virus) . I won't be surprised dorothy will become humanity enemy at the end and root of cause will eventually pointed to oswald very own action.
Yeah I still hate till now. Doing few good things does not make you good guy when you break someone mentally.
