Today we are exploring Osaka for the very first time. Osaka is known as Japan’s kitchen, there’s so many unique and interesting food we’ve never had before, from Takoyaki – deep fried octopus balls to Okonomiyaki – savory pancakes to fluffy giggly Japanese cheesecake, famous Japanese Steam buns and loaded Gyoza that’s to die for. We will explore Dotonbori Street which is like the Times Square of Osaka, and have some fun seeing Dontonbori from 250 feet above in one of the worlds only oval shaped ferris wheels. We’ll also check out the Nintendo Store and the beautiful Osaka castle which just so happened to be hosting a Sweet potato festival while we were visiting. Come with us on this adventure!

  1. Did you change your captioning? It is way better than the normal auto YouTube captions. My boyfriend is Deaf and we watch all your videos, he was really impressed by these captions. I know it’s extra time in editing-but we rely on captioning and appreciate creators who do it well! Thanks y’all!! ❤

  2. Michelin is a western scam: the people who review for the outlet are westerners who have NO knowledge of Japanese culture and don't even bother to understand it. Use Tabelog and Gurunavi instead of Michelin, Yelp, and Google when you are in my county, 🇯🇵

  3. I highly recommend visiting Hokkaido on a future Japan trip! The ice cream and milk is the best I’ve ever had! The cows must be extra happy since the dairy is so rich and flavorful. Thanks for another great video!

  4. All of the paper Mario collectibles were great! It was my son’s favorite Mario game.
Personally I don’t care for that type of game…still I can never find anything for paper Mario in the US. Guess I’ll have to head to Japan so I can get my son a couple of original paper Mario gifts. I’ll have to look for Mario sunshine collectibles as well… that was his second favorite Mario game. As always, thanks for sharing your adventures with us. ✌🏻🥰😊

  5. I'm so glad you found a place to try both kinds of okonomiyaki and loved it!! OA Galaxy and well deserved. Hiroshima-style okonomiyake was possibly the greatest thing I've ever eaten in my life and I still dream about it. And honestly I feel the same about the texture of the octopus balls. You guys thrive in Japan, love these videos!

  7. The Michelin star ranking system goes like this:

1 star: stop by if you pass by it on your way.

2 star: If you’re in the area and it’s a little out of the way it’s worth going to anyway.

3 stars: the restaurant is the destination.

  9. Absolutely beautiful as always! I had to look away at the octopus eating though 😂

I love how Peter's new catchphrase is "What is that??" 😁

I'd spend so much money in that Nintendo store!!!!

  10. Actually you can reserve seats in the ordinary cars on the shinkansen. Its best to reserve during a busy Japan holiday such as New Years or Golden Week when Japan does a lot of domestic travel to visit family. But during the slow seasons, its not necessary. Also it depends where your trip is starting from. If you line up early enough at Tokyo or Shinagawa station and heading towards Shin Osaka station, you'll get a seat. But if you are boarding somewhere in between, you might not as more people board along the way. I love seeing you guys travel abroad!!! 😊

  11. I too ended up getting a little motion sickness on the bullet train. Especially when we were in the city. It was less disorienting to look out the window once we were in the countryside. ( I think the buildings made the speed more noticeable). I love Osaka, if I was going to live in Japan I would want to live closer to Osaka than to Tokyo I think.
