I actually love black ops 4 and I’ve been playing zombies since bo2.
Yes it has its flaws but the maps themselves are actually really good imo even if some of them are hard. The hud was annoying, the progression was ruined, the elemental zombies sucked but I never experienced and blue screens or crashes since I was on pc. Sure blood didn’t feel like mob but it was still good. The only actual big problem I had with bo4 was the budget cuts and the game being rushed. Dlc 3 and 4 were so forced and more remakes which was so annoying. Chaos storyline was really interesting to me but it came at a bad time. Black ops 4 was also for the hardcore fans not casuals but I believe it can be played decently casual. Watching Easter egg hunts and then finishing then was so fun at the beginning of bo4.
Black ops 4 was by no means perfect but it was borderline a true sequel to black ops 3. They just fucked up so much little things that the game died by a thousand paper cuts. I am sure if I experienced lots of crashes I’d hate the game. I would have loved to see a new dlc season for this game like was intended. I really hope that Cod 2024 won’t be rushed and Treyarch will have all the time in the world to make it and not be forced to do anything by activision.
I feel so bad for those 2016 origins speedrunners struggling for sub 1hr30 runs only to be bulldozed by some japanese dude a year prior
