Original Disney Imagineer's tiki mug release [Gurrtiki]

Bob Gurr was one of the original Disney Imagineers; Like, worked directly with Walt kind of original Imagineer. Yeah, I know, wild. Bob and I had been talking about doing this show for a while now and I’m so happy to finally have a drink with him! He is truly special.

We talk about the early years of Disneyland, tiki in the 1950s, and we showcase his brand new tiki mug! He helps me make his very (ahem) creative signature cocktail, the Gurrtiki!

To make the the drink in the video:
————————————–
Naked brand Mighty Mango juice
Pineapple juice
Some booze
————————————–

Mix in a hurricane glass with 3/4 full of pebble ice.
Garnish with a pineapple spear, mango wedge, kiwi wheel, and maraschino cherry on a skewer.

  1. Absolutely your best episode ever. What a legend! The stories he can tell from an era long gone . Would love to know his secret to long life . You shook the hand of the man that shook Walt Disney's hand. WOW!

  2. Really fun episode, Spike! Bob's lust for life and playfulness is the exact inspiration we all need and you are quite the fortunate man to rub elbows with such legendary people. You did good… real good 🙂

  3. Really enjoyed this episode! Bob is an international treasure. If you could get Rolly to visit the breezeway somehow, that would fulfill my themepark designing tiki heart! Also kinda annoyed that Justin can stand now without hitting the ceiling vines 😉

  4. Great show, Spike. What a fantastic guest! I'm so interested in hearing stories of the old days of Disneyland. Thanks for having him on. It's funny, when you made the drink I was thinking- I believe they forgot the booze!

  5. When you're editing your video did you notice that orb going over Bob's head when he was telling the story about riding his fire truck in the little boys telling something
