Orange County judge arrested after wife found dead in Anaheim Hills home

An Orange County Superior Court judge was released on bail Friday after being arrested in connection with the death of his wife at their Anaheim Hills home.

Jeffrey Ferguson, 72, was arrested following a report of gunfire in the 8500 block of East Canyon Vista Drive shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday. Officers arrived to find Ferguson’s wife, 65-year-old Sheryl Ferguson, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police confirmed.

Authorities took Jeffrey Ferguson into custody on suspicion of killing his wife and then sought search warrants to gather evidence. The Fergusons’ son, who is in his 20s and was at the home at the time of the shooting, was questioned by police.

  1. Why was he released!? 😳 He is under a lot of emotional distress and can go hurt more people or even himself. It’s incredible to me how the wealthy always get different treatment than the rest of us because they can afford bond. Incredible!!! 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

  2. Judge Ferguson who used to be with the criminal Orange County DA's office, also worked many crooked deals with help from the DEA and others in Major Narcotics Enforcement Team! It just goes to show that justice in America is dead and has been dead for many years! When the police investigate the police and when the FBI/DEA run illegal stings because they know that their criminal judges will give them a pass! Well Judge, good luck in prison, who feckless POS!

  3. WTF?? There shouldn’t be ANY bond for MURDER, and if his son was there and ALSO threatened by this judge, it’s INSANE he was allowed to bond out!! Seriously, CA’s department of “injustice!!”
