now that you mention it, i dont like most of the dungeons music in oracle of ages. i like dungeon 3 4 and 6s music and the black tower but i barely rememebr the rest.
i think the composer was too limited by the hardware since the themes are good in theory but the gb soundchip makes them sound kinda off.
The monkeys are probably more of a nod at the flying monkeys from Wizard of Oz.

Come back when you get the mermaid suit and explore the caves along the southern edge of Crescent Island….you might not find the Wooden Shield the Tokay took…but he might have an even better one for you instead 😉
This dungeon makes me feel dumb. It took me to long to figure out that bombs could be thrown over green walls.
Man I genuinely forgot how solid these games were!
Huh…I've never noticed that connection between the Fujibaiyashi Zelda games before. I can't say those sections were always my personal favourite moments in each game, but I can see the theory behind it, and there are worse tropes to have as your signature.
I'd also completely forgotten about the animal buddies. It's almost a shame they didn't come back in other games, but I can also see why they didn't as they are kind of an oddity in this game.
