Fantasia told Whoopi Goldberg that Oprah told her do not bother her about asking her about doing that role of she was doing and when it went down.

When she told her no, she said Oprah made things right. I took that to be that either Oprah talked to whoever was in charge of payroll or made up the pay discrepancy out of her own pocket. I would love to see everyone's contract. I am hoping that some of them are getting performance bonuses based on a percentage of box office profits. I know that a lot of bigger actors have their contracts structured that way. Finally, if you look at earlier interviews of the Colored Purple Ladies promoting the movie, you will notice that Oprah always tried to position all the actresses together with her on either side of all of them. Depending on the number of cast members present, Tariji, Danielle and Fantasia are usually seated together. It was never an I don't want to stand by Taraji thing
