Opening A New Dio VHS Tape

Dio has been one of my favorites band’s and artist’s for such a long time, I will definitely be playing this tape quite a bit!

If you’re a Dio, Rainbow, Black Sabbath (Dio Era), or Elf fan let me know your favorite song in the comments!

  1. that is so cool, like damn you good metal. also I'm also a big fan of dio, literally my neighbors hate because at like midnight I have my guitar and amp outside playing rainbow in the dark, the sign of the southern cross, and stargazer, but that is so cool you have the vhs copy of dio's tour SO METAL!!

  2. Very cool casual look you have going on today, it's unique and not commonly seen. I almost played around the idea of getting back into VHS a bit, but when I tried to use a lot of my older equipment, they started eating tapes because the internal mechanisms have dried out! I mostly migrated to DVD, but there can definitely be a nostalgic appeal of breaking out old VHS tapes especially if there are others who would appreciate kicking back to watch them together with a beer, if they appreciate the same nostalgia of it!

  3. Rainbow in the dark? Oh yeah, rainbow in the dark. Nice VHS you got there, I didn't know there was collectors of VHS going around, I remember VHS and video stores being amazing in the 80s and 90s back when it was the killer tech for on demand video rentals and purchases.

  4. Hi Madi. Do you have a video cassette rewinder like the Turbowinder? If not, it's a good investment. It has one function: to rewind your VHS tapes. The logic behind this is that it frees your VCR from having to rewind, which allows the VCR to move only Forward, which saves wear on the heads. Sorry – I don't mean to Gen-Xsplain stuff to you, and you may already know this, (and I may have stopped at my local watering hole after work 🍺so I may not be able to exercise my usual discretion 😋) but I don't see anything about this in the earlier comments.
