Can't you just delete your character and try for a re roll? Isn't that faster than running?

At around 8:05 he talks about choosing standing until the return is around 26%.. where do you go to check that?
If you get a bad starting zone, wouldn't it be faster to just delete your character and make another one, rather than run for 10 minutes? Or… am I missing something?
