Why didn't the alien fleet send a drop ship to pick up their companion or to make contact with the human settlement , makes no sense to walk an hour to the settlement then back to the crashed ship to make contact with the alien fleet when the hurt alien could have contacted the fleet to inform them as to what happened and tell them that the human aided him with his injuries .
