That was back when i would launch nukes and take photo ops with these type of landmarks as the centerpiece, my character playing a random instrument, and the nuke going off in the background
I remember finding the space suit there
Me and my friends would up there to pvp and do some stupid stuff it was fun
It was an interesting feeling being lonesome for a while with everything empty and now seeing Appalachia change throughout the time I've played.
Burh I was a beta tested this game and yea I remember it was so long ago

Vault 96 used to be a pointless location
Nuclear winter and survival used to exist
Foundation was just a workshop

The game is very empty now. It still doesn't meet the minimum standard for RPGs.

I miss it because where Foundation now sits we used to have a workshop that I took over regularly. And it was common there to have a scorch beast arrive you had to defend against.
I remember the days before clean up Appalachia and one wasteland. The days before the script machine. Edit: the days before wild Appalachia.
Been around since beta after I got out of the vault I rushed over to the water park to ride slides than booked it over to the space station I now have over 3000 hours and look back fondly over every hour

I loved it back when all was quiet, you were on your own and you always had to wonder if you camp was going to be there when you returned. Love it still. Just a different time.
Back in my day we didn’t have no fancy schmancy ammo box or fusion core recharger

Cry boys from pre fo76 was unhappy that fo76 wasn't like the other games, so they cried so hard that they ruined this game by having pvp removed.
I was "in game there" but i knew of that location from lore vids before Appalachia got repopulated.

I remember my bloodied explosive pump action shotgun did 2 shots on a scorchbeast and 1 shot everything else but tbh it was getting boring knowing you could kill everything easily.
Its alot better now that they've added humans to interact with and do quests, theres more events, map expansions and more weapons to experience.
Personally as someone who loves lore I really liked walking through the scorch plague infested ruins discovering the story of how the Responders etc tried and failed to overcome both hostile factions and the plague (RIP Charlestown)

I kinda wish they would've kept the crashed space station as it was instead of making it crater. They could've done so much with it but instead just made it a place you'll barely care to visit.

I remember this, i quit the game very early, only 1 month played, it was broken, and dead, and holy crap my 1st day i absolutely got annihilated by random players with t60 armour, i was like how!!! The games been out 2 days! Lol
As someone who pre ordered and got to level 50 before quitting out of boredom, it was okay
I took a photo of it in photodiode. When wasteland hit I lost all of photos of the game before it changed
The excitement of finding the door code and getting the space suits. 😆 Or the disa of finding someone beat you to them. 🥲
Had my first camp right outside the space station as a lead deposit was close by. Good times, I still have pictures of it that I’ll see in loading screens.

I love this changes, like we are really seeing some factions taking certain points when time passed. I really adore the new responders base at collapsed slumber mill at the starter area.

Kind of ironic. I stopped playing the game when wastelanders released. I loved the concept that 76 originally put out.

Most of the game was like this, 1 spot for.mothman eggs, 1 spot for cranberries!! Been play 76 since 2019
