One person died and four others were injured in an early morning fire at a Lowell farm house, fire officials said. The age and gender of the person who died and the injured were not immediately available. Lowell Fire Chief Shannon Witherell said firefighters responded at 12:31 a.m. to a house in the 700 block of Flat River Drive SE for the fire. They arrived in three to five minutes to find heavy fire on the front of the house. He said firefighters were told by dispatchers that one person was possibly trapped in the house. Firefighters searched the home and found one person inside. They brought the person out, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene. (Ridley Hudson | MLive.com)
