One Mistake Doesn't Need to Define the Rest of Your Life | Sadie Robertson Huff & Danielle Kartes

Danielle Kartes describes herself as a goofy, funny cook who loves the Lord — and she proves exactly that in her conversation with Sadie! Danielle has always had a gift for cooking but tells Sadie it almost cost her everything when the restaurant she and her husband started ended up tearing them apart. They chose to stay together, and it’s why she says one mistake doesn’t need to define the rest of your life. Danielle’s cookbooks have opened some incredible doors, including segments on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” Sadie and Danielle want to encourage everyone that life is good TODAY, and just because you are where God wants you doesn’t mean it will be an easy road. Never forget, we need to show up exactly as we are with what we have, and be ready for the Lord to use us! Plus, don’t miss Danielle’s tips for hosting on a budget. “You Were Always There: Notes and Recipes for Living a Life You Love” by Danielle Kartes is available now.

  1. Love this episode! As a native from NE Louisiana, I love her explaining the "drive by hello"! As a mom of 2 littles and someone who feels led to share what the Lord is doing in my life through writing, I found her so relatable and authentic!

  5. It would be interesting if you had someone on here who isn’t known for tv or anything like that. Like just your everyday man or woman following Jesus and talking about how God has shown up in their life. I love this story!

  6. I think its better to say yeh than thats good, its kind of a churchy term when listening to a loud proclamation, but there is time for speech, preach and conversations etc. imo.

God will get you through. Keep pushing keep going forward. Stay strong. Every will work out. God will give you favor in Jesus mighty name. Amen and amen.

  8. Can you talk about toxic purity culture? I here so many different things for Christians and non Christians, and I don't know who actually understands the Bible. Who doesn't misquote the Bible.

  9. I'm not the target audience. Yet glad I watched some of this. "Oh my gosh, am I the oversharer?"

    Well.
Late 2020 was the year I decided that temporary oversharing everywhere was probably a better way to go – than waiting 5 years to write the perfect book or start a professional-sounding blog. Some of us, despite age, are not quite ready to be messaging professionals YET. Oversharing is what "YouTube" was made for (other than being a placeholder for Rumble). Oh, and say 'Hi' to Christian Huff for me. I have a few replies coming.

  10. I don’t normally comment on things, but this was a message I needed to hear. God really does reveal things to us when we are listening. But we can’t just listen; we have to act on what God has called us to do. God has a plan for us all – we all have a calling and/or a gift that we should not be afraid to share with the world. You may not know how God will use you to reach others; and you never will, unless you not only listen to Him, but do what He tells you to do. James 1:22-25 says:

22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

Thank you for sharing your story and this message with the rest of the world. God has been able to reach one more because of it!
