In These stories Humans are often referred to as Human, Humanity, Deathworlder, Hellwolder in reference to the human planet of origin , Earth. This planet is seen by most of the universe as a place where only death and chaos can survive.

Humans Are Space Orcs (HASO) or Humans Are (Fantasy Race) Are used as a guide when writing.
In these Stories we normally View humans like the other races view orcs in a Fantasy Novel. We (Humans) share the same characteristics and personalities as orcs. Humans are normally treated as the outsiders and barbarians. Humans tend to be underestimated as well in these stories. Unlike Humanity Feck Yea , these don’t always put a positive spin on humanshumanity sometimes looking at the darker side of human and humanity from the perspective of aliens.

First story: Yep, once you give humans nothing left to fight for, they have no reason to fight with any humanity at all.
Second story: someone literally did this prank in my H.S. when I was a kid. Vaselined piglets. One through Six, but only five of them. They did manage to get them out into the courtyard, which made them a distraction since kids in the classrooms on the courtyard walls would hang out the windows trying to touch the piggies running by. School with farm kids was hilarious stuff. (The main character and his friends were literally a lesson for the rest of the school to learn to deal with chaos.)

That 2nd story i remember listening to a news report when it happened irl.
It was on Paul Harvey morning radio show, it was 3 calfs were let loose in a high school as their senior prank. I want to say it happened in Wyoming or Utah, somewhere around there.
