Thank you for these videos. I'm 31 years old. Single. But it's always interesting and useful to listen to things like this.
Shout out to Sam with the stellar last name 💪🏽
In my experience as a husband and father it has been made clear by Gods grace that we are called to be the loving, kind and merciful father to our children JUST AS God is our kind loving and merciful Father to us as Christians. God continues to reveal himself to me more and more as I live and learn as a Catholic father
As I was listening to the video intro, my son stood at the door of my bedroom as if your words had affected him. God bless you and keep you spreading spreading the faith.
Devon's last comment, "A father's success is not based on his children's faithfulness, it's based on his faithfulness to his children." left John, Sam, and me in aw.
Love it! Young man in college, love hearing this out here in the world!
Hey all. Thank you for your work. One thing though is that grammatically there should be no apostrophe in “Dad’s.” I’m talking about the title and thumbnail for this video. Just thought I’d point that out! God bless.
Great video Brothers! This will be useful for when I become a Father.
Hello from Poland!
I listened to your podcast very carefully, and I want to share my point of view. Being a father is a great responsibility, and we must not fail. That's why I’d like to share some of my thoughts:
1. *Choose your wife wisely*
This is critical. I have seen many good men who were brought down by difficult women. I’m sure this is an issue in the USA as well, but here in Poland, it's not uncommon to find women who get pregnant and then decide to push the father away. Of course, they still claim money from him.
2. *Respect your wife*
Nothing to comment here I think.
3. *Be a man of prayer*
To be a good father, you need great wisdom. Wisdom is a gift from the Holy Spirit, and you will receive it if you stay close to God through the sacraments.
4. *Be careful with your finances*
This is also very important. I don’t mean that your only duty is to earn money, but if your finances are in ruins, you’ll have to work even harder to pay off debts. This could lead to being absent or too exhausted to raise your children properly.
5. *Don’t give up*
Being a father is not a job you can quit. Sometimes, when I feel overwhelmed by my responsibilities or when I get angry, I remind myself: if God gave me six children and a wife, He must believe I can manage! So, what am I really worrying about?
6. *Duty first*
We all tend to dream about great things we could achieve. The same goes for being a father — who doesn’t want to raise a prodigy? But in the end, we have St. Joseph, who raised Jesus and didn’t do anything extraordinary. He simply worked hard to provide for his family. Maybe we don’t need to chase after "extras." Just do what you’re supposed to: work, pray, love, and support your family. God will take care of the rest.
CONSECRATION OF THE ELECTION TO THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
Mary Immaculate, living tabernacle of the Divinity, where the eternal Wisdom lies hidden to be adored and served by angels and men, Queen of heaven and of earth, beneath whose sway are subject all things that are lower than God, Patroness of the United States of America, sorrowful and mindful of our own sinfulness and the sins of our nation, we come to thee, our refuge and hope. Knowing that our country cannot be saved by our own works and mindful of how much our nation has departed from the ways of thy Son, we humbly ask that thou wouldst turn thine eyes upon our country to bring about its conversion. We consecrate to thee the integrity of the upcoming election and its outcome, so that what is spiritually and morally best for the citizens of our country may be accomplished, and that all of those who are elected would govern according to the spiritual and moral principles which will bring our nation into conformity with the teachings of thy Son. Give grace to the citizens of this land so that they will choose leaders according to the Sacred Heart of thy Son, that His glory may be made manifest, lest we be given the leaders we deserve. Trusting in the providential care of God the Father and thy maternal care, we have perfect confidence that thou wilst take care of us and will not leave us forsaken. O Mary Immaculate, pray for us. Amen
