On-Location RAW Edit Taster – Outer Hebrides Adventure

Hi all.

Well, I type this from my hotel room in Dunblane, on my way down from the Outer Hebrides. I wanted to share with you a RAW edit of what Iโ€™ve been doing this last week. So, itโ€™s exactly that; a RAW edit from my iPad.

Canโ€™t wait to get to work on this one. Riding in snow and ice is NOT fun!

See yโ€™all very soon!

  1. I did a trip around North and South Uist, Lewis and Harris a few years back at the beginning of February in the Land Rover, not brave enough to have done it on my bike.
Hats off to you and the big lad. Can't wait for the full video's.

  4. Put me to shame. I work up there and I've never taken the bike up in summer never mind winter ๐Ÿคฃ

Also, no where near as peaceful in summer. That little island gets pretty busy. For good reason though, it is beautiful.

  5. big up to you m8, but makes me feel a real softy coz i wouldnt dare take my motorbike out in the ice and snow, i'd be constantly worried about coming off and the idiots on the road, no matter how good the bike or tyres were. I did plenty of cycling in my youth in these type of conditions, but now im a lot older probably learned too much sense ๐Ÿ™‚ GL

  7. Yep, got that T-shirt, rode my old K100LT 4 winters back to back here in Germany, only dropping it once getting off the ice covered pavement. Still riding but giving snow and ice a miss nowadays, at 71 ๐Ÿ˜‰

  8. What an excellent taster. I can't wait for the series to start. Can I ask, who did you use as a stand-in double for the dangerous snow scenes? Was it usernamekate or Mike? ๐Ÿ˜€ Top draw Richy. You do treat us all to some cracking content.

  10. Nice one! I seen you were coming up. I'm sure you knew we get snow in winter here but I hope you got the weather on the Outer Hebrides. The Uists are phenomenal in good weather but grim if it's stormy.
