On Land, In the Air & All At Sea (January – March 1941) | World War II

The Luftwaffe continued its attempts to bomb Britain into submission, while the German Afrika Korps strengthened its position as Rommel, Hitler’s “Desert Fox”, took charge. At sea the naval forces battle each other and the elements, as the Japanese embark upon a spy mission to gather information about the American Fleet at Pearl Harbor.

  2. A friend of my father was in the Red Army. He said one of the reasons he migrated to the US is because of the food rations the US sent to help fight the Germans. He said he had never tasted food like that. I thought this was really weird since we are not a country known for our great food.

  3. It is a well documented fact that Hitler bombed London in response to Churchill Bombing Berlin. I hate Hitler but the allies were no saints either in fact far from it. History is always written by victorious propogandists. just imagine the loss of heritage architecture and forest cover apart from the terrible death toll and all for what?

  4. Surender for Great Briton was never a real option. As an Island nation which imported nearly everything, German occupation would have severed the west shipping life line. Nazi Germany could have never even fed GB. They had to fight, regardless of the outcome.

  5. Fk the fkn music. Why does every Tom Dik and Harry think we can't watch or listen to anything without a bloody orchestra aimlessly tuning up in the background. Where did this shit idea come from ????

  6. Without the proper knowledge of statistics it is practically impossible to quantify the actual proportions of Heaven and Hell.
This includes a clearly defined ledger listing deeds done to create war versus efforts spent to manage what was or still is left of earthly peace.
Naturally, there also ought to be include an additional column for errors caused by cheating and by lying,
this includes things like stealing this one's Windows 7 legal registration and ID,
needed to calculate the inevitable population standard deviation for the then ascertainable spillover in terms of real numeric quantities of population total, to be dumped into Hell. 😮‍💨

  7. My father was a 17 year old landser in Finland. He told me many unbelievable stories. Once he met a Russian soldier in the woods. They smoked a cigarette together complained about their leaders and left.
My father had PTSSD for the rest of his life. How dare these leaders to send young men to their death?

  8. Let us all thank god that the Axis powers remained as selfish after their alliance was made, as they were before it was made.
If these powers formed a joint military effort with goals that reflected the reality of their situation in ww2.
Either we all win or we all lose.
They may have been unstoppable in the early years.

Imagine if in 1941 with the Germans closing in on Moscow. Stalin was unable call on his reserves in the far east to turn the Germans back because the threat of a Japanese attack on Stalins eastern border. Was a real one.

Or if Italy hadn’t attacked into Africa, or better yet hadn’t attacked Greece without conferring with the Germans. Or better yet simply focused their efforts into supporting the German campaigns which would have ended up achieving both nations overall goals.

Without Axis stupidity in the early years of the war. I’m not sure WW2 could have been won by the allies.

  9. Churchill was a complete loser. All of his military plans were losers. Check out the dumb stuff he did against the Turks in WW1 at Galipoli. If Poland was so important to the UK, how come after the Germans were defeated in WW2 that Churchill didn’t help Poland?
