  1. I agree, this trailer was very underwhelming to me. I think it’s because the other triple lord packs introduce both character and scale to the trailers – the scheming of the changeling, the scale of yuan-bos information network and onyx crows, etc. – or conversely what it’s like being at the siege of nuln, and the scale and messiness of it all. The warriors of chaos trailers had so much personality to them and showed off why each of the four are so terrifying and the rivalries of the chaos gods, highlighting the difference in tactics and strategy in each and consequently what makes them unique from each other (except festus but his nurgling is cute so all is forgiven)

All we get from these trailers is that they’re in battles that could be happening literally anywhere else and nothing would be different. No narratives introduced and no character shown other than one guy likes skulls and another gold. It just felt very generic.

  2. Ogors and Orks in one DLC is a dream come true for me! That said I wish we'd gotten big Stabbas or a re-design of some of the Man-eaters units so that they're not all just pirates

The trailer was definitely weaker but it still got me sufficiently excited.

Also I may be in the minority but I love Gorebad, I loved his model and I'm thrilled to see him in game!

  3. The Thrones of Decay trailer was of a similar no-story style… I think we're seeing the result of their staff cuts and more focus on product over marketing.

If trailer bad, content great = I approve

  4. I agree with you. The trailer didnt really hit me in the feels.
Still everything in this DLC might be quite tame and generic, I stilll feel like they will all be good additions to each faction.
Basically what im saying is im looking forward to it without much hype.

  5. Lately the trailers quality really dropped, with Thrones of Decay it was just a generic "look at your new toys" and this one is by far my least favorite.

Part of the fun in waiting all this time for DLCs are the trailers. It's not a super important part, but it's part of the fun, and I feel while it's mostly marketing, it keeps the community engaged and interested, with *feelings*. This trailer just felt like it was a quick easily memeable video. I wish they could go back to making them great as before.

  6. for me the trailer was good, Throne of decay trailer was not my taste even if I liked the DLC, and the "murder" of bretonnia was for once a step to risk insteead of doing always the same thing that we saw in TW2, Its not a rival dlc, its a theme DLC so I accept the deal 🙂

  7. Ngl Ive seen mods with more effort put into them than this dlc.
Reskins for the ogres, a slightly bigger bloodthirster for khorne with a reskinned ogre monster as headliner and an orc with a different helmet.
    "Thatll be 30$ btw"
    Lol.
    Lmao even.

  8. The lines from the new lords and their appearance was really nice. For example, I really don't like Gorbad in design, I feel like he is atrociously overtly vanilla. Yet, the trailer does a good job depicting him as the strategist he is, which is his original character trait. It is true the trailer would definitely have been better with a bit more context, a little story like in some of the other trailers. However, the characters were really well presented in themselves, Skulltakers' presentation gave me goosebumps.

  9. I thought the trailer was pretty rubbish too. Looked low effort / disinterested. Also all the featured factions (minus khorne) are boring and it didn’t really show how they’re being developed other than getting some new colours. Khorne only seems to be getting a reskin of mutalith vortex beast, so yeah quite disappointing
