Thanks again to you and your crew for another great hunt!
Congrats Randy!
That lion you ran into might have a lot to do with why you arent seeing as many deer.
15 year old Daughter and I finally drew a tag after putting in for a few years. We had a hard time finding any Couse the first 2 days. I killed a legal spike buck on day 3. Then we saw deer almost everywhere we explored on foot. Got on a great buck on day 7 and just could not get my daughter inside her effective range of 200 yards. We were the only out of state hunters we met. Camped next to a great family. Can hardly wait to get drawn again. Mostt favorite hunt i have ever been on.
Lions don't worry me, now snakes are worrisome
Congrats on a really cool buck. I liked the character of this buck as well. Nice hunt.
Cool buck! Thanks for sharing!
thanks for listening to the feedback and including the caliber and the bullet type again.
You guys are gayer than a box of boners.
You, born and raised, hushin, Steven and all the others in this to gain money talk about putting more hunters on the land scape. You need to take the money you make and put it back in the land scape to have enough game to go around. You all abdicate for more hunters but do nothing with your winning to have sustainable herd.
I used to love watching hunting but after seeing what has happened because of your businesses I think it’s time you guys stop talking and start to pay back some of what you earn and help put more animals on the land scape to supplement the narrative you push to have more people get involved in hunting.
You are the most detrimental component of our hunting future. Make a good choice.
Good job Randy, good job!
That was a really cool buck Randy congratulations sir!👍🏻🇺🇸🦌
congrats Randy, cool buck.
Great to hear you talk about the impact of the drought. I live in Tucson and have hunted those units down along the border for 30 years now. Its been more like a 20 year drought, the quail have completed moved out of some areas that used to be the best hunting around. I also believe there is a problem with over grazing but I am not trying to beat up the ranchers. Its also become dangerous just to be in the units along the border always pack a side arm.
Redlined the goofy meter! Ha, I like that, congrats!
That made me hungry
I’m sitting here munching on fresh Javelina jerky from two days ago as I’m watching this video… life is good!
Randy, YOU are my inspiration! I always look forward to your content. You and I are the same age. I live through you and other Youtube content providers vicariously.
Hey Marcus, you rock! Don't care about Randy's occasional digs. Randy knows you rock and he truly appreciates you. I wish I could take 30 years off of my age. Good job gents! Cheers!
I guess old age doesn't allow you to pack out the whole thing in one trip since you say you wouldn't be able to do it. Anyway good hunt.
Wish you could have gotten footage of the lion
I love those old bucks! Nicely done. Did you get the tooth age results back from Matsons?
Hi Randy my name is Kalliope. My dad met you at the Sheep Show in Reno. Can you be hunting buddies with him?😃
Congrats on a great buck! Also amazing job of packing everything edible out. There’s a Coues hunt on the Hushin channel where only thing that Eric took was the head and back straps. The carcass was clearly visible behind him as he packed the head out.
The reason why tenderloins, or any cut really, is rubbery if cooked the day of the kill is the meat hasn’t completed to process of going into and out of rigor.
Here is a tip to prevent getting an eye cramp from glassing with a spotting scope. Get an eyepatch with an elastic band from a pharmacy or drug store. Wear it on your non-glassing eye. It allows that eye to relax. When finished glassing wrap it up in the spotting scope cover. I have done this for decades. Try it out.
Bad management and predator pressure has as large if not larger impact on populations and fawn recruitment than drought does. 20 years ago you would rarely see a lion. Every year since they banned trapping we see more lions and fewer deer. Last year's hunt alone I glassed up 4 different mature lions in only 4 days of hunting. Didn't even see 4 bucks during the same hunt.
Randy bringing up the only doe season is youth in the Kaibab brings back memories for me. That is the season I took my first deer in almost 25 years ago. I haven't lived in AZ for over 20 years now. While I have enjoyed tremendous success hunting deer where I'm at now, I do miss the western style of hunting that I grew up with.
Thanks
definitely redlined the goofy meter! very cool
adjusting tags should always be done by the biologists not the politicians as seems to be the case in some states. Looks like a good time with friends Randy.
