Something a little bit different in this cast, we have an old legacy playing demonstrating some old school strategies with the Ottomans. Could this strategy be the new meta for Ottomans? Lemme know!

  1. The cav archer choice makes sense. Especially since Otto Archers are pretty strong. And you can make them even stronger by sending the Akinsis card to make them do bonus damage against villagers. Turning them into great raiders. Then you can make them strong via the cavalry combat card. And quicker to train with the flight archery card.

Also upon reaching age 4 you are presented with an interesting choice. As you can either advance to age V and get the imperial upgrade for your can archers to turn them into tanks that can eat Falconets for breakfast.

Or you can revolt with romania to gain access to the wallachian cav archer card. Which reduce your cav archers HP by 20%. But makes them move 10% faster, and fire 10% faster. Turning them into nimble glass cannons than can send a hail of arrows down on a group of enemies. Retreat. And then come back to do it all again.

So if you want to Micro your cav archers then the romanian revolution is actually the better option. But if you just want to sit your cav archers next to your abus and falcs to shield them from enemy cavalry. Then the imperial age up is the better option.

One thing to remember with romania though, is that it is strongly recommended that you include the Theaters card in your deck for Romania revolution focused decks. Because Hadjuks and Crabats are both outlaw units. So if you plan on building the schiovani like Hadjuks, or the light cav Crabat (which counters enemy cav in melee). Then you are going to want the Theaters card.

Though if you are just going romanian revolution for the fast firing cav archers, then you don't have to worry about the Theaters card. Since you probably wont be building a ton of outlaw units.
