By popular demand, it’s time for The Karate Kid! This was honestly surprising to me, but in the very best of ways!

Cobra Kai reignited my interest in Bonsai trees that the Karate Kid started in the 80’s. I got 4 trees in 2021, and the 1st, 3rd, and 4th are thriving. Someone else accidentally sprayed vinegar on the 2nd and it died.
The Karate Kid is still one of the greatest, most inspirational teen movies ever made
Cobra Kai is every bit as good as this. All the heart, all the beauty. They make a point of bringing back everything. Every character played by the original actors, relationship beats, life lessons, training, even going so far as calling back settings and camera positions. It's fantastic. And it does those call backs to all four movies. Part two is good. Not as good, but still good. Three and four there's a sharp decline in writing and directing. Not that they're terrible, they're still fun, but definitely not as good. You might want to watch them before Cobra Kai so you catch everything. Cobra Kai is certainly good enough to stand alone, even if you haven't seen any of the movies. It's a lot more fun seeing everybody come back, spotting the Easter eggs, and knowing more about what's going on.
26:07 BEST KICK in the entire movie, thanks for including it, most people don’t.
26:16 That’s DARRYL VIDAL in white, a real-life black belt, he helped with the fight choreography, he’s also the one who came up with the Crane kick AND when Miyagi defends Daniel from the Cobra Kai guys after they pin him against the fence, for the more physical shots when you don’t see Miyagi’s face, that’s Darryl.
26:35 SECOND BEST KICK in the movie, notice how Dutch stands with Daniel to his left but then switches sides because he’s changed his strategy, he then throws a weaker backward kick tricking Daniel into ducking and as soon as he stands up Dutch gets him with a stronger forward kick in the opposite direction that Daniel never saw coming until it ironically hit him in the eye, it’s brilliant, too bad we don’t see the rest of the fight.
Btw, Dutch is played by Chad McQueen who’s the son of famous actor STEVE McQUEEN from The Magnificent Seven (‘60), The Great Escape (‘63), The Cincinnati Kid (‘65), Bullitt (‘68), The Thomas Crown Affair (‘68), Le Mans (‘71), Papillon (‘73), The Towering Inferno (‘74) and many more.
Next react to The Karate Kid part 2 and 3 then Cobra Kai which is the same Actors but set 33 years later
The Next Karate Kid stars the Actor who plays Mr Miyagi but not Daniel's Actor, The Re make staring Will Smith's Son and Jackie Chan has no connections with the OG movies or Cobra Kai
I love your reactions!! You can tell most reactors are just doing what they think the audience wants, but it's obvious that you are 100% real and invested on an emotional level. Keep up the fantastic work!
This reaction was a real kick!!! And I loved your Audrey 2….
California izzz dope 💯😁 but finally you taking this movie on 🔥
😄 It's been 35 years since I saw "Adventures In Babysitting," and to this day, every time I hear the word "Babysitter," I half expect it to be followed by the "I'm A Man Riff" played very loudly. Since you obviously have a fondness for 80s movies with lots of action, I want to draw your attention to the one that could very well have been the inspiration for "Adventures In Babysitting." 👶 "After Hours" (1985) was Martin Scorsese's lone attempt at dark comedy, and it's absolutely masterful. 😉👍
Another good Elizabeth Shue movie is Heart and Souls with Robert Downey, Jr., Alfe Woodard, et al.
There is one problem with this movie and you reacted to it exactly the way I did. I think a fake problem had to be interjected so that there could be a resolution a minute later. I don't like it each time I see it. Otherwise the movie is great. When Daniel shows up at the park and Ali's mad at him? Why on earth was she mad. He saw her at the dance with Johnny. He gets spaghetti spilled all over him. Ali slaps Johnny. Daniel shows up later at the park and she's mad. Absolute nonsensical script that I think was put in just for the reason I said. And you're the first reactor to have the same what-the-heck reaction that I did. I love this movie and don't need to point out anything to you because you got the movie just fine. But that segment irritates me every time. Nice reaction!
If you haven’t seen it legend of Billie Jean is freaking epic
Eighties decade was a good time . Miss old days .
Pat Morita was also a standup comedian. He didn’t know karate before he was cast and I believe the karate instructor was the mustached man with the red shirt at the competition. Morita was also cast in the film ,”Midway” which is the sister film to “Tora Tora Tora”. They very realistic movies about WWII in the Pacific. Both films are joint American-Japanese productions. They both go on your schedule!
Anyone who's seen this movie knows that Daniel was a good guy and Johnny is the bad guy. This whole argument over who's in the right is a fake argument. It's just an internet meme, no one really thinks that Daniel was the bad guy.
Hi,
I seen a lot of reactions on YT about this movie, and sadly, most of the time ( not always, hopefully ), they skip the part about Manzanar and the camps.
So it's the firs time i watch one of your vid, but keep going, you seem to be an honest person, will watch your channel again in the future.
Cordialement,
Jabrane.
"Kerri Strug it". I think I'm a bit older than you and I totally got that reference. I actually got to meet her once at UCLA and while I'm not a big guy, I definitely felt very tall standing next to her.
Ur hair is beautiful
Great Reaction …
I want to highly recommend you a criticproof INDIAN MOVIE…
"R.R.R (RISE ROAR REVOLT) Which had taken the world by storm in 2022."
IMDB 8.0
ROTTEN TOMATOES 95%
*Truly one of a kind masterpiece.*
It has WON AN OSCAR And GOLDEN GLOBE including 32 other USA Filmfestival awards.
It is a must must watch.
IT HAS ALMOST EVERYTHING YOU WOULD WANT IN A MOVIE.
IT'S AN EXPERIENCE.
((Don't get afraid by 3hr runtime. It's like finger snap.))
((First 20 mins are enough to make you watch the entire movie in one sitting.))
*Even JAMES CAMERON watched it twice with his wife and personally congratulated the Director.*
THANK YOU BROTHER.
I can confirm: As a Finnish kid who lived in the great recession of the 90's Finland (we had our own bank crisis back then, after the fall of the USSR because they were our biggest trading partner), our family got live in USA, California from 1992-1993 and it literally felt like a dream world. The area we lived in (rented a house), was an upper middle class area with large houses, high fences, swimming pools in the yard and mostly white population. Our house had a yacuzzi on its yard, orange trees, lemon trees, etc, which was so unreal to someone from the modest living standards we had. As a sidenote to keep inflation in mind: I remember they had a campaign in Jack In The Box for a hamburger, a taco and fries for 99 cents. Do the math, how much does this combo cost you nowadays?
Nice review, now you have to watch 2 and 3… then the show 😅
Reactors lying about never having seen click-worthy movies are YouTube cancer.
I think the arguments about Daniel being a villain in the first film is more a joke.. but the creators of "Cobra Kai" have taken that to create an extension of the film, as we don't see anything from John's perspective in the first film. But we hear more about him in the series and see how their lives become flipped. With Daniel becoming the "rich guy" and Johnny the under dog.. such a fantastic series that stayed true to the original films while moving characters old and new forward.
Karate Kid is classic movie. The remake didn't even have any karate in it. LOL.
You should really watch all the movies as well as the Cobra Kai series.
OK now watch the next 2 movies and Cobra Kai.
