Old Man Coyote Explained – Is He The Satan Of Castlevania Nocturne Universe? All Theories!

If you want fans to keep coming back to your work, the best way to accomplish that is by giving them a mystery to mull over, and that’s exactly what Castlevania Nocturne has done. Season two gave a natural conclusion to the storyline of Erzsebet Bathory, Drolta and Sekhmet. Richter Belmont is finally the strongest of his line, and has found love with Annette. Maria, Juste and Alucard are ready to meet the revolutionaries and fight for the day that the sun of freedom shines upon France. Even Olrox seems to be truly happy for once, now that Mizrak is going to live with him forever. And if that was all, then season two could’ve been the end for this rather compelling spin-off series. But we’re making this video, so you know we’ve got to talk about the biggest unresolved mystery figure from Nocturne: Old Man Coyote. Just what is this entity that even the Aztec Vampire is wary of engaging? And why does it do the things it does? We’ll look at all that and more in this video, so without further ado, let’s dive straight in!

  1. The first time is actually during the first assault on the abbey, where he reaches through the hell portal and dispells Papa Legba. I'm willing to bet he's the one who brought the machine to the abbey in the first place.

  2. If it really is Mephisto, then he's prolly not Satan, the series showcasing that there are a ton of gods and entities in different cultures and religion opened a huge variety of entities in that universe, then Mephisto is just one of many demonic entities in the series, unless they try to explain that Satan exists in all religions just and he's just wearing different costumes or some shit. The Abbott probably made a deal with it in order to gain access to the machine and took "his part" of the deal when the Abbott died.

  3. Floatingcloud94 mentioned it and he gave a very good answer: " I have said it before ..but I think he is another entity (not death) since gods and entities of all mythology exist here. And when the priest made a deal with old man coyote and sold his Soul for power , part of his soul already belonged to him. So when he and the nun made love , the spirit of coyote also took control in a way. So the young lady has two fathers . A biological father (the priest ) and a spiritual father (coyote) hence why her powers come from a dark portal similar to how cayote appears. Also , since the priest’s soul n body was dragged back by coyote , chances are in the next season they will not focus on Ritcher and Annette but mainly on Alucard like in the game and I forgot which part but there is a demon Priest who tries to revive Dracula n we play as Alucard. So here , since Dracula and his wife is already alive somewhere else , this priest will now be a demonised priest who will work to revive or breach a dimension for coyote to come to our world not just spiritually but in his full being."

  4. I think the next story (I think Nocturne is end here) will set in Japan in modern day or near future where Soma (Dracula) will be the hero of the series and Old man Cayote will be The Abyss itself (final boss of the game).

I mean Alucard in this season kept mention he was in Japan and he want to go back there.

  5. If Old Man Coyote is Satan, then we might get a Lord of Shadows adaptation. Dracula will come back cause of the story. After his defeat, we might get a new antagonist that makes Dracula bad again, paving way for the Rondo of Blood adaptation is season 4 or 5

  6. This show sucked. They reduced Richter to "Annette's boyfriend" status. They took Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood and wasted the characters on some other BS narratives. The first series was good but both series 1 and 2 are beyond forced . No one wanted this. No one asked for Annette or the extremely annoying opera singing night creature. "Castlevania" but no Castle, no Transylvania, no Dracula. This show took two of the greatest video games of all time and ruined them by forcing all of this other disjointed crap into it. Dont make season 3. Just leave it. Make your own story .
