  1. Snappy stuff, I have no clue why this arrived in my doorstep. One thing that events like this caused in my country was that they made anything that wasnt right in the city a hella of a lot more rural. With everyone having to rely on each other and the shit they find on the floor.

  2. Incredibly honest photography. Heart breaking to document such hardship, but we all can appreciate their social concern and realism. Great selection of pictures by this wonderful website.

  3. When todays children and teenagers pester their parents for the latest video games or fashion clothing they need to be shown photos a film footage about these times in the mid 1930's. It was much the same throughout the western world. Then it might give them a different outlook as to how ell off they actually are.

  4. This is very beautiful in a heart wrenching way. I keep a few old pieces in my home of this life, not because it looks nice, which it does, but as a physical reminder that no mater how bad things might seem for me, it is not the hardship the pieces represent. Odd probably, but my truth. The photographs mean so much. Thank you for sharing them💛💛

  7. I lived in Norman Oklahoma and worked at Tinker AF Base in Oklahoma City. These pictures remind all of us of a harder time in the growth of our country. They also remind me of many countries around the world that are still developing and suffering this kind of poverty today.
