An Ohio man has been charged with murder for shooting an Uber driver he believed was attempting to rob him following a fraudulent phone call.

If the victim was not a person of non-white ethnicity, he/she might had lived.
This scam happened about nine years ago to my parents. A man posing as their grandson talking very low saying Grandma I need $2500 I’m in jail in New York and I need to get out of here. Thankfully, I just walked in the door for a visit and saw my mom visibly upset and I took the phone. I asked what are you in jail for he said DWI. I said what name do they have you under and the POS gave a different last name. There’s a special place in hell for people who prey on our elderly. We need stricter laws put in place for these scammers.
