I’ll admit this part of the game is where I got really angry with Minoru and Kaito here.
Considering what Shuuji did to Lopmon compared to everyone else not one of them stopped to think maybe the way Shuuji treated Lopmon is why he turned on him.
And their monster partners mentioned when they evolve their feelings are given them strength.
These were a few clues here. Glad not all of them were wary of their partners.

Sup Ed. That person was right about the warp digivolve bc in a Digimon movie my older brother had was where a Keramon (quoting Izzy on this one) "bypassed the champion level & digivolved straight into the ultimate level". So yeah, in the games it is possible.
Doing this game blind isn't fun IMO. The guides help because each digimon has a single item they give and being able to farm certain items like slabs or training items is nice. Being able to see all the different aspects they put into the game is nice and I easily see how they can make a sequel for it. I just hope they learn from the negative things people are saying about the game. Also I hope they put all of the 1400+ digimon into the game. Keep up the fight Ed and I hope you plan on doing a true path playthrough. Also use an affinity guide during that run because it is possible to max out all of the affinities for mega forms. Save RYO, Save the world! (Fun "Heros" reference, Save the cheerleader, Save the world)🤣😂
Digivolutions only happen in the DEEP WOODS area that pops up only if you reached certain affinities levels with each character. Also adding here…use the crystals at least….extra health and SP is very nice to have.
In the anime (specifically '02) Agumon warp digivolves to MetalGreymon (virus form; under the Digimon Emperor's control). So yeah, warp digivolving to ultimate is a thing in the anime.

Good progress. Ultimates are 30 affinity iirc. Megas are like 70. Of course another condition is the kids need to be alive too so good luck

I don't get how Minoru's bond was too low to evolve? I'm pretty sure you've been focusing on increasing his bond the whole playthrough?
