Interesting thing about Lucius the eternal, you only become him if you felt pride in killing him. There are instances where someone will kill him and not feel pride because thats just how war is for them, but then Lucius will come back through a person who felt pride in making the weapon used to kill Lucius or something similar.
great work guys. as both an MTG and 40k fan I loved that you covered both aspects in detail. props to Cameron for his Chaos lore knowledge, was great to hear
PLEASE do a gameplay with these decks out of the box! It would be so cool!
Is it just me or is the audio seriously desynced like an hour and 20 minutes in?
I would be up for another episode of this format. I need 40K abridged for my moon brain.
I came here to only inform everyone that MAGNUS DID NOTHING WRONG!
What a great deck reveal. I'm watching them all and this one is so good. Great lore/mtg mechanics balamce in conversation for these awesome themed decks. The conversation bridges both mtg only players and warhammer 40k players together beautifully.
Me, as a 40k fan, everytime they say something about 40k lore
All those nerds! Love it xD
So we have Abaddon, Magnus, Mortarion but no Angron? =(
magnus isnt evil he got his soul shattered by tzeench and currently its on terra
Can't wait to see the the reaction to the Necron Deck and it's deal of "how many artifacts can we cram into one deck"
Belakor also plays a pretty central role in TW: Warhammer 3
Are y’all making one of these on every upcoming Warhammer commander
I've only been betrayed by Chaos Warp once where I was fighting my friends token deck and he was beating me down pretty hard. He had a specific stronger unit beating through defenses, nothing lethal yet but getting close. I chaos warped that creature… into an End-Raze Forerunners and he killed me.
Either way still view it as a staple removal for all my red decks. Way too versatile.
This video took me 4 hours to watch cause i kept pulling up the 40k wiki and then getting distracted
The length of the video turned me off at first but I'm so glad y'all took this time to go into the lore on almost every card. I wish I could get a deep dive like this for all 4 decks!
All this heat and it's only one deck?
I'm very excited for the other 3
They do actually make a Mutalith Vortex Beast but it's really not THAT big. Just slightly bigger than Dreadnought-sized stuff.
As a mtg fan i fully appreciated the lore tie in. This is how you introduce a cross over product wotc!
Awesome walk-through! The lore and flavor exposition is great, as is the enthusiasm! Hope to see the other 40k decks get the same treatment.
Do I dare to dream for Cameron do one of these for every deck? I would LOVE to hear the lore from the others as well (but I only care about the lore that’s going to be on cards).
Man hope these guys do this with the rest of the decks
just to be clear — chaos warp does not combo with brainstorm, since it starts by shuffling the target permanent into your library
Brainstorm is such a shitty include. "I'm gonna cast let the galaxy burn X=5 into top card being a 1 mana instant"
So many new toys for my Rakdos demon tribal deck…I've never been so hard…
Degenerate here to weigh in on the power of The Lost and the Damned, it turns all your fetchlands into 3/3s as well so if you're a baller this is even better but just with only with budget options you get things like the slow fetches, evolving/terramorphic, myriad landscape
Imagine giving the bloodthirster double strike
I would pay to make LRR review the other three decks.
"Even in debt I still serve"
Just a small rules correction for anyone wondering. Chaos warp certainly doesn't combo with brainstorm, as you have to shuffle before revealing.
Would love to have them talk about the other three decks in this constellation.
SUBBED this deck reveal was truly refreshing and cozy it could have been 1 more hour and still would consume all of it! Ofc you talked about the mechanics, reprints and other Magic perspectives even tho the fact you read all the Flavor texts and had 2 well rounded Lore Connaisseurs I loved it.
Only reveal to care that much for the GW fans out there and not focusing about doing a quick fix reveal for MTG only players, even tho I have seen others making effort on the presentation/Lore! Unlike them who covers only the NEW cards and skip the reprints, you started with them as a good warmup before diving in the new cards.
Also, I WOULDN'T NOTICE the Space Marine corpses on BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! thanks uh-Ha!
Apologies in advance:
Kharn was actually leader of the 8th company not the 1st. Kharn was also not considered to be an especially good duelist as he found it hard to fight properly outside the context of battle, he was decent but not the best. Sigismund of the Imperial Fists was generally considered to be the best fighter in single combat.
Be’lakor in 40k is similar to how he is in fantasy. He’s the first Daemon Prince and the greatest Daemon of chaos undivided. He is basically the daemonic equivalent to Abaddon. But Abaddon is still considered the greatest champion of chaos and the de facto leader of its armies
Also there is in fact a Mutalith Vortex Beast model. They are indeed quite large. They are used by the Thousand Sons exclusively in universe and on the tabletop.
37:30 – I may absolutely be mistaken, but that looks like the Atlantic coastline of France and the Iberian Peninsula into the Bay of Biscay.
Not Astartes "A star tease" its Astartes "A Star Tay"!!!!!!
So this deck is what is going to get me into magic. And a question for you long time players do you think I will be able to do a decent death guard focused deck based on what is in here?
22:24, I love the simultaneous "ahhhhhh" from Cam and Ben.
Universes beyond planechase card sets.
They could be done in isolation, a planechase set all in 40k, or combined with other planechase cards
make more joyous vorthos(ish) content! this is probably my favorite of stuff youve done
Thats the 8 pointed star of chaos graham. Oh great I love that for that planet
Please do this for each deck. The longer videos full of lore are incredible.
You guys have really calming voices, I fell asleep to this lol
