  2. So while it is said fungus creates amazing vermicompost, that was a bit aggressive for my tastes. Like other poster said, it seems likely the leaves brought in from outside brought in the fungus. I’d watch closely as the bloom may have blown spores on the other trays.

  3. I agree with the other commentators it's a slime mold commonly referred to as dog vomit fungus I see it air on woodchips outdoors. it really likes carbon. Probably came in with your leaves.

  4. I think these fungi are like icebergs and what you see is only a small fragment of the colony. If it came with your leaves in the bin, elements of it are still in the bedding. It may be back until the conditions in the bin are not conducive to its growth. Other than the initial shock, I think that’s a good thing for your worms!

  5. Whoa!!! There is definitely a fungus among us!! I don't know what kind ,but it looks like it wanted to throw spores all over your worm bin!! Very good clean up crew operation there! I wonder how it got there in that one spot without getting into the other bin?? I think keeping the plastic on top is still the right move for one more round. My guess is 200…higher than I normally would have guessed based on all the tiny babies you picked in a small area and the good amount of wiggling I saw at first before the time lapse got really going. Awesome video AV!!🪱🪱🪱
