Kurt Cobain tried really hard not to be destructive, I'm a big fan of both, nirvana and oasis, i was born in 1974, we don't need to judge them, yesterday i felt like i hate myself and i want to die, today i feel a lot better, besides it's not a statement, it's just telling people how we feel.
Who care what Noel thinks? Kurt had serious drug, pain, depression and ADHD issues which he would never understand. Kurt was speaking his truth, and itās not for Noel to tell his what to say.
The song was a random improvised throwaway track, but the title itself was semi-serious. I mean, he killed himself several minths later. He was also insistent that In Utero be called "I Hate Myself and Want to Die" before being persuaded to change his mind.
As much as I love the song don't look back in anger, I have dealt with a lot of trauma and I didn't really know how to process it back then. I was still really young and now that I'm older I am now realizing it more and have been spiraling into more self pity as I have been living with my grandparents as the result of most of it and I am now seeing this video in the middle of a breakdown. I just have to say, I can see both sides of it actually. sometimes you need the really good scream, and that's what makes you want to go ahead, try to not look back in anger after the storm and rather the rainbow. that's my take on it.
Umm, Noel actually really liked Kurt Cobain and Nirvana. He's talked about it multiple times. Saying how great of a songwriter Kurt was and how he wishes he could have met him. He praises Nirvana all the time.
Major fail on Gallagherās part. The song, later called āRape Meā, was not about Kurt Cobain. The use of the first person was in reference to othersā experience as lending a powerful respected voice to those in suffering when for them to admit that about themselves would get them pissed on by guys like Gallagher. Itās a gift to those in the most suffering to help them feel heard or not alone. And Gallagherās a pro musician so he should know that about the use of the first person in lyric writing. Itās really missing the point of what NIRVANA is about. Guess he didnāt have much time to do his research.
BOTH WERE CORRECT!š Life kicks the shit out of us every single day! However, the moments where weāre feel true peace and genuine happiness make life worth living. A life of long struggle teaches us this.ā¤
The Gallagher brothers can be quite horrible themselves But I actually genuinely respect Noel for him having said this You shouldnāt push your problems on to your fans or encourage this feeling in other people Paul McCartney had a similar sentiment when talking about the Beatles influence and how they could have been really dark yet what it always came back to was singing about love I donāt understand how anyone can look up to Kurt Cobain or even really like him beyond his music
Neeervana

Kurt cobain was a boring miserable little man. Noel gallagher all the way man šš
Nirvana's music will never, ever,be forgotten.
Unlike Oasis's…
Period.
That's Liam in the pic
Fair play to them both really…
Iām not going to criticise Kurt Cobain rest his soulā¦ But Noel Gallagher was one of the best songwriters of all timeā¦
50/50 sorry even though i liked nirvana alot more for many different reasons he still has a good point??
Who care what Noel thinks? Kurt had serious drug, pain, depression and ADHD issues which he would never understand. Kurt was speaking his truth, and itās not for Noel to tell his what to say.
How tf do you mispronounce āliveā
āThe song title was a jokeā proceeds to kill himself a year later
Gallagher was right. Keep that to you and your shrink. That's very personal. Life and death is in the power of the tongue.
He's absolutely right
Spoken like someone who has never experienced intense depression.
ššš nobody cares what the British think

Ahhh. Thay classic Oasis track. Leave Forever! šµāš«
Both were right. Nothing wrong with using your life experiences as song writer or write a song for the masses that have nothing to do with you

He know that the whole song title is a joke right?
Liams the most miserable twat in music-him preaching positivity is crazy šš
And where is Gallagher now? Rest my case stfu
To be fair, there doesn't seem to be a damn thing the Gallagher Brothers like
Follow me for all the Vegas š¤Ø
Gallehgers a Gā¤ā¤ā¤ā¤ā¤
Says Noel shows a picture of liam
Why did you show Liam.i stead of noel
That first picture is Liam not Noel.
That was Liam in the fist picture you silly American spanner š§

it probably was he was just jealous that every song kurt wrote was a hit. and maybe oasis had 3 or 4 ok songs
That was just kurt's sense of humor
BOTH WERE CORRECT!š

Oasis sucks ass
The Gallagher brothers can be quite horrible themselves
But I actually genuinely respect Noel for him having said this
You shouldnāt push your problems on to your fans or encourage this feeling in other people
Paul McCartney had a similar sentiment when talking about the Beatles influence and how they could have been really dark yet what it always came back to was singing about love
I donāt understand how anyone can look up to Kurt Cobain or even really like him beyond his music
Iām not an Oasis super fan but all the problems people have with Oasis are true of Nirvana as well
As well as every 90s band
Oasis still blows
āHitā: a song that is a b-side and only becomes widely available over ten years after it was released on a prohibitively expensive box set.
You people are delusional. That song title was Freudian admission at it's finest.
Guess he missed the point of the song and it's meaning. Noel is a tosser anyway.
