  1. Kurt Cobain tried really hard not to be destructive, I'm a big fan of both, nirvana and oasis, i was born in 1974, we don't need to judge them, yesterday i felt like i hate myself and i want to die, today i feel a lot better, besides it's not a statement, it's just telling people how we feel.

  2. Who care what Noel thinks? Kurt had serious drug, pain, depression and ADHD issues which he would never understand. Kurt was speaking his truth, and itā€™s not for Noel to tell his what to say.

  3. The song was a random improvised throwaway track, but the title itself was semi-serious. I mean, he killed himself several minths later. He was also insistent that In Utero be called "I Hate Myself and Want to Die" before being persuaded to change his mind.

  4. As much as I love the song don't look back in anger, I have dealt with a lot of trauma and I didn't really know how to process it back then. I was still really young and now that I'm older I am now realizing it more and have been spiraling into more self pity as I have been living with my grandparents as the result of most of it and I am now seeing this video in the middle of a breakdown. I just have to say, I can see both sides of it actually. sometimes you need the really good scream, and that's what makes you want to go ahead, try to not look back in anger after the storm and rather the rainbow. that's my take on it.

  5. Umm, Noel actually really liked Kurt Cobain and Nirvana. He's talked about it multiple times. Saying how great of a songwriter Kurt was and how he wishes he could have met him. He praises Nirvana all the time.

  6. Major fail on Gallagherā€™s part. The song, later called ā€œRape Meā€, was not about Kurt Cobain. The use of the first person was in reference to othersā€™ experience as lending a powerful respected voice to those in suffering when for them to admit that about themselves would get them pissed on by guys like Gallagher. Itā€™s a gift to those in the most suffering to help them feel heard or not alone. And Gallagherā€™s a pro musician so he should know that about the use of the first person in lyric writing. Itā€™s really missing the point of what NIRVANA is about. Guess he didnā€™t have much time to do his research.

  7. BOTH WERE CORRECT!šŸ‘
Life kicks the shit out of us every single day! However, the moments where weā€™re feel true peace and genuine happiness make life worth living. A life of long struggle teaches us this.ā¤

  8. The Gallagher brothers can be quite horrible themselves
But I actually genuinely respect Noel for him having said this
You shouldnā€™t push your problems on to your fans or encourage this feeling in other people
Paul McCartney had a similar sentiment when talking about the Beatles influence and how they could have been really dark yet what it always came back to was singing about love
I donā€™t understand how anyone can look up to Kurt Cobain or even really like him beyond his music
