Based on the Marvel Comics superhero of the same name, it is the first installment of the Blade franchise. The film stars Wesley Snipes as Blade along with Stephen Dorff, Kris Kristofferson, and N’Bushe Wright in supporting roles. The film follows Blade, a human with vampire strengths but not their weaknesses, who wages a relentless war against vampires threatening humanity. When Blade uncovers a plot by the ruthless vampire Deacon Frost to unleash the blood god La Magra, he, with the help of his mentor Abraham Whistler and hematologist Karen Jenson, navigates a world of supernatural threats and intense action to protect humanity from the looming vampire menace.

I think the flower is supposed to represent Blade’s attachment to his vampire roots while being a hybrid, so he cuts them to show his independence from them.

Oak, Quinn, and Answer are viewing the Blade film from a realistic standpoint, but you guys have to remember that this film was very closely based on the comic books and not meant to embody reality. Once you take that into consideration, you never notice how implausible certain situations are. 💕

There have been rumors lately of Snipes coming back in some way, likely for Secret Wars. Mahershala's Blade doesn't have a good outlook and may end up not even happening at all at this point.

Wesley Snipes was the epitome of badass in the 90s. Not to mention he actually was a very rounded actor altogether. Thank you for mentioning best of the best it's still one of my favorite martial arts films

What's SUPER WEIRD about the rave scene if you think about it is that spraying blood over everyone doesn't even make sense.
