I agree, solid was rather tenuous in that group
For me connections was a 3.9
I got a perfect reverse rainbow. I knew the tv shows immediately. But I don't think my talent will get me anywhere 😊
I think SOLID works for consecutive: “I’m booked solid for the next 8 hours.” BURN is a touch more literary, like, “his face burned with embarrassment.”
Usually a flight of beer, 4 small pours of different beers
Connections today was a dumpster fire for me. I only got yellow and green. I had no idea FLIGHT had anything to do with flavors, and I do not know my sitcoms. I wasted two guesses on flight to do with airlines so I put COACH with that for example. I also fell for the POKER error because I was really grasping at straws. When I got green it occurred to me solid works really well in a clever way,, though I called the green category "Persistent" to myself.
I worked for 11 hours solid in order to meet the deadline. See, most of us think of solid being firm, hard, resilient, or a state of matter or something like a solid color. That's why it was hard.
I had one guess left to figure out light blue and purple, and you could have given me all my lives and I would have burned through them all. I was thinking of things like flight as a flight of stairs, and so on.
“Her cheeks burned in shame” and “His face glowed with pleasure” are examples of burn and glow meaning getting red in the face.
Flight is a sample of wines. I only know this, as I have a relative that owns a winery. It might also be a sample of other things too ?
There's an old saying " Horses sweat , men perspire and women gently glow !"
Fun fact. Badminton is a giant country house and estate in Gloucestershire seat of the Dukes of Beaufort and famous for its horse trials ( cross country ).
It is also where the shuttlecock game was first played.
mayim bialik would be very disappointed
Blossom was a show in the 90s that's stared mayim bialik who you might know from the big ban theory as amy
Phew, good Connections.
Very slow for me but after two failures, I really wanted to win this one. After my first and only mistake (blossom = glow?), I figured out all the categories but I knew only 3 members in each. The fourth ones were my best guesses. Until a saw FLIGHT: a sampling of tiny glasses of beer at a craft brewery. I had never heard of Coach but I loved Blossom (did you know Mayim Bialik is a PhD?).
Great Mini. 2:25 for me.
Nice Strands. I had a minor mousing issue with one of the words, immediately corrected. Does it still count as "hard perfect"?
A flight is when you get three or four different alcoholic beverages of the same type so you can compare them, in small quantities so you don't get excessively drunk like if you ordered that many drinks, but generally at a restaurant, adding up to one whole drink, rather than just sips at an event where you'd buy bottles of the ones you liked.
I can't believe I didn't get the flushed part. I knew Full House was purple but idk any other sitcoms. They expecting us to know TV! 😢
Strands was a bit difficult but Mini was pretty fun no complaints
The dictionary confirms re: "flight", but that's a usage I'm not familiar with and the temptation to call shenanigans was strong.
You are really incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!
