Outside a building on East 126th Street in East Harlem, one of two safe injection sites in New York City, Ryan R. confirmed he has found Xylazine, known as ‘tranq,’ in his illicit drugs.

“Absolutely,” he said. “I’ve had some tested here. Every time I find dope that has horse tranquilizer in it, I tell everyone around don’t use it. And I tell people not to buy that stuff because it’s killing people and it’s really bad for your body.”

  3. I understand that sometimes depression leads to drug use. Had my fun dabbling with a few things but never in my life had any interest in trying heroin because I knew I would probably like it too much. Knew I'd get addicted. Knew I'd get sick if I didn't keep taking it. Knew I'd lose everything in my life. Knew I'd be on the streets so I knew to stay tf away from it. The sad part tho is most heroin addicts we're prescribed opioids for an injury. They didn't just wake up one day and say, gee I think I'm gonna give heroin a try.

  13. The fact that the tax payers are paying for this safe injection site and where this guy can get his illegal drugs tested is a part of the problem, we are just enabling their drug habit by making it easy. Too many handouts in this country

  22. As an experienced horse owner the tranquilizer has a similar effect on the animal–they drop the head but remain standing. Of course if too much was given the horse would go down to the ground and that would be very bad.

  33. Methadone and weed is all u need . Trust me . I was on Heroin iv over 25 years . Not anymore. Cannabis saves lives and Methadone if prescribed and used correctly also does.

  40. Legalize drugs so people don't have to go to back Allie's to get drugs legalize it and tax the s*** out of it so that the government is making money off all the purchases and then you can use that money to go towards treatment facilities

Why is Biden and his crew doing nothing to stop or slow this down, the Biden administration needs to help these people by better mental health care, government paid drug rehab centers so any addict can get the help they need to get clean, government funded rec centers and fun centers for kids on the streets can go to and have trained staff to engage with these youngsters before the drug dealers find them and steal their souls, but Joe Biden is making the drug crisis worse by open borders, giving out drug paraphernalia such as clean needles and pipes for them to use with their illegal drugs which are illegal, much harsher sentences for drug dealers and any crime committed while under the influence of illegal drugs, using ILLEGAL DRUGS and stealing,raping, vandalism ,murder, child abuse or any other crime while high gets you prison time, so much money is thrown at illegal drug use and now addicts are being told to carry Narcan in case someone overdoses because it's an over the counter purchase, help these people live a real life and not encouraging death
