NVGM #128 -The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks – Underwater

Nanrait’s Videos Game Music #128 -The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks – Underwater

From The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (Nintendo DS, 2009)

Young Nanrait was infatuated by DS boxes at their cousins house and Spirit Tracks was one that inspired good feelings and much mystery. Part of why it remained so mysterious was because the game card itself was nowhere to be seen so all I could do was look at the pretty box. The cover art means much more than that now, though. It reminds me of a time and place that is so vivid and clear. It’s too personal to get into but it makes me incredibly sad and full of regret.

Also, I did a little drawing of Link a little while ago. My bro and I thought it would be fun to redesign the elf boy despite the fact neither of us have ever really played a Zelda game. I gave my version of Link a pink tunic and pulled up socks to make him look very childlike. He also lacks a hat but I like it that way. My bro’s drawings were much better and focused on a young adult Link that I liked very much. His art makes me feel happy which is strange because it used to make me feel jealous.
