From my experience with senior family members that have retired, anyone that still works at age 82 unfortunately probably needs to. Some Social Security checks are not enough to meet all their bills and expenses. This leaves seniors in situations sometimes where they’re forced to return back to work. Also, if they have outstanding medical bills or extremely high monthly medications needed, they’re forced to seek employment whether they want to or not. It’s really sad.
Regarding Lisa Marie Presley, did you see the actor Austin Butler, who played Elvis in the movie acceptance speech at the Golden Globes? She did not look right. She looked really off that night. She kept putting her head in her hands at the table. Even when she spoke afterwards she looked strange and a little dazed. We know she’s unfortunately been in several rehab programs over the years and after her son’s death in 2020 and her recent split from her 4th husband, she said she was going back to rehab. Nevertheless, it’s still an extremely sad and horrific situation and my prayers goes out to her Mother and 3 remaining daughters. 😢
I’ve heard about decreases on SS benefits. SMH Decreasing SS benefits especially in this economy is criminal. A lot more seniors are having to get back out there and work. Smh

Ye (formerly known as Kanye) needs meds/treatment and consistent therapy. Until then I just can’t take him seriously. Yes by 82 I will have been retired, I mean damn! And at a Walmart but like you said I know older people that start working again because they become bored and say they don’t want to just sit home doing nothing. One of my coworkers Delia still at my job and she’s like 77 but we work in a hospital office dept.

I'm so glad that I took charge of my health last year and started watching what I eat and incorporating exercise into my daily routine.

My 87-year-old great-aunt passed away last year. She worked until she was diagnosed with C19. She drove a bus, picked up the elderly, and lived on her own. She would not stop. Well C19 was her demise. She didn't have to work but she loved it.
