I think you can use this for flipped asteroid to travel safely through the magma biome, like brothgar tried with falling sand in the magma biome long ago

Would you consider this an exploit or is it intended?
A better way I found is to put a Pitcher Pump in magma. Then place a bottle emptier adjacent to wherever I want to place some natural tile and set it to Auto bottle. The magma will cool and turn into a rock tile which unlike sand won't collapse the moment you try to dig it out whatever is underneath it.
Obviously you need to wait for it to cool to Natural temperatures but you can always just put a regular pipe inside to assist in the cooling.
I assume that the tiles have very little mass, do they change temperature easier?
Would this also work with polluted water moving through the tiles, then dumped out of a dispenser?
There are a lot of easier ways to do this without mods but please… just use the natural tiles mod, no one is going to judge you
I still use the "Surround mechanized door with tiles then break it" glitch to get natural tiles.
Don't need to deal with really hot machines or contraptions, but costs 200 metal/ore per tile.
I hate how individual natural tiles on the DLC look, I don't know why they made them so ugly if you could make a comparison It would be appreciated.

Nice, good find. My go to is to use a glass forge piped into hydroponics tiles, then deconstruct the hydro tiles. This method even leaves the pipes in case you need them. Note that the pipes already in a natural glass title can be changed without destroying the title.

The one thing I dislike about this versus door deconstruction is that you either leave the rail inside the tile, or you deconstruct it and have entombed debris
Glass hydroponics have the same issue
