  1. Bad advice for killing corrupted monk before Guardian ape to avoid the double monkey fight.

One) I'm all honesty, it's not that hard. It looks a lot harder than it actually is.

Two) You get a remnant and prayer bead for killing the boss. You are definitely going to need that increase in attack power for later.

Also I recommend you go for the Purification ending for the first playthrough, since it includes a unique boss fight (my favorite fight in the game) and isn't that hard to setup. After you beat Corrupted Monk and Guardian Ape (pick up the flower and stone to change the worldstate), then you'll notice that Ashina Castle is locked (which is also why you'll want to get all the prayer idols in that location). When you kill the main boss of that area, look up the guide.

  2. NG+ does not have any new bosses, there is one ending that does end the game early and makes you fight less and different bosses than if you were to pick any of the other 3 endings.

You could just save scum if thats an option.

  3. Sekiro has 12 frames/0.2 seconds of parry timing and after that, 13-36 frames count as a block but you can go into parry from almost anything very fast, unlike Souls and Lies of P.
Umbrella likely has more frames for deflection.

Dodge has more I-frames for forward dodging than the side but enemy sweep and thurst attacks ignore your dodge I-frames.

30 frames parry timing is a popular myth which would be 0.5 seconds….
