Notre Dame vs. Wake Forest: The top-seed Demon Deacons won a back and forth game versus the eighth-seed Fighting Irish, 7-5 in this final game of pool play in the 2023 ACC Baseball Championship. Wake Forest exits pool play with a 2-0 record. The win over Notre Dame was Wake Forest’s 47th win of the season, tying a program record. Nick Kurtz had two solo home runs for the Demon Deacons, finishing the game 2-3 with the two home runs and two walks. Brock Wilken went 1-3 with a solo home run, a walk, and two runs scored. Bennett Lee also had a good game at the plate, going 2-3 with a walk and two runs scored. For Notre Dame, Estevan Moreno went 2-4 with two doubles, an RBI, and a run scored. Wake Forest advances to the semi finals to play fourth-seeded Miami.
