  2. Super Interested in this Email app. Been very happy with Notion Notes but not as happy with calendar. Tablet calendar app is non-existent. It is DOA if they can't make a proper app for Desktop, Phone and Tablet……

  3. It's something I don't think will be great. Notion Calendar was nice when it was released. But no updates since then. And there are simple things that just don't happen well. For instance, syncing is slow. When I open on iOS after creating event on macOS, the event just won't be there for several minutes.

  4. I don't have high expectations for Notion Mail considering how long Notion Calendar has been out and still only supports Google accounts. The fact that I still can't connect an outlook/office365 account is a huge miss.

  5. Notion is looking to compete head-on with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.

Notion has a compelling offering because knowledge and data management are central to modern businesses, and these areas, M365 and Workspace, are weak.

Microsoft Loop hasn't matured, and Microsoft Lists is nowhere near as functional as Notions Databases.

Google Sheets & Docs and Microsoft Word & Excel look and feel dated, and the advent of AI has made these products vulnerable because they think overly complex, and there is a sensing functionality that could be replaced by a natural language prompt to UIs no longer need to be as overwhelming feature-laden.

Both Microsoft & Google are in tricky situations because they do not want to alienate existing customers that do not want to experience any change, that are happy to pay for continuity. Notion will not appeal to this significant market segment unless they have a compelling story and price will factor heavily on any desire to move away.

Notion has nothing to lose and nor do customers because more competition is a very good thing.

  6. The only feature I would like to see in Notion is a graph view, similar to those found in Logseq, Obsidian, and Roam Research. Notion is a highly productive tool, offering more than just note-taking capabilities. I've never used databases extensively. I have now shifted my focus to Obsidian and Roam Research. Roam research is expensive, then notion. However, it aids in the organization of my thoughts and helps me identify patterns. Let see, when Notion provide the graph view functionality.
