Not Taiwan, Xi Jinping’s China May Move To Grab Eastern Russia From A Weak Putin

While much of the world’s attention remains on Ukraine, China’s Xi Jinping cemented his position in Beijing for a third term. The end of 20th National Congress of Chinese Communist Party saw Xi emerge as the strongest leader since Mao Zedong. In the runup to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, China and Russia declared a friendship “without limits”. However, the two countries have fought despite signing friendship treaties in the past. There has been speculation that the presence of ethnic Chinese Russians in the Far East could encourage Beijing to press north.

  1. This is something I thought of many years ago, the Chinese would much rather befriend the western world, and take Russia's far east land. But right now the CCP is beginning to lose its grip, they'll become a Republic once again from a coup d'etat.

  3. The same month Russian invaded Ukraine and we found out Russia wasn't doing great. I thought it would be perfect for China to invade Russia and come out as looking as the good guys. Imagine instead of the US it would be China coming out ontop looking like they won. But taking only some smaller regions would be more diplomatic in the long haul.

  4. Rather wishful thinking on the part of western observers . I remember some time ago when my bank thought the they could profit from China and Russia falling out over a BORDER ISSUE . China responded by suspending the sale of Tungsten to Russia direct and we acquire the contract to sell it on the London market . We knew that the ultimate buyers o=f this Chines tungsten would be Russia and the only other source was the US and they never sold Russia anything that was valuable . We thought therefore that we could "Corner" the market push the price up and sting the Russians and make a killing . However Russia stayed away from LONDON for some time while we bought huge quantities oof the stuff at great cost . We were continually advised by an MI5 agent we had in Moscow that the Russians were drawing on stocks .Eventually it became too expensive and to cut a long story short and when Russian and China conned us into believing that stocks were running short a got East Germany then an ally to buy some of our stocks we jump ship and sold up. All the time and from the very beginning Russia nd China had spotted what we were up to and China secretly supplied Russia with the Tungsten through Vladivostok . China ended up Ellen twice its normal supply of tungsten half to us at more than double the price.

Lesson 1) China and Russia have a far better understanding of markets that we give them credit for . The Chinese re some of the best traders around the globe.

Lesson 2) Russia and China re closer to Esch other than either will be to any western nation.

Take a look at what Chin;'s leader said in response to Stolltenberg of Nato's threat that as China had not supported Nato against Russia over Ukraine nato would seek alliances with the US against China in the Pacific.

Zi Responded to this threat with : YOU WANT US TO HELP YOU FIGHT OUR FRIEND SO THAT YOU CAN FIGHT US LATER.

China knows that the US is gearing up for a fight with them because the US will not allow anyone to challenge its supremacy so China is not going to help the US or Europe in any way to fight ITS FRIEND RUSSIA.

  5. Unlike Taiwan which fought and won its independence from mainland China, much of the land now occupied by Russia was annexed by them, stolen from China, just as the northern islands of Japan were stolen by Russia. I would have thought that Russia has enough territory already without stealing land from others.

  6. It was this such border problem which my bank tried to exploit and make a killing in the Tungsten market . Yes Russia do fall out but when it comes to world problems the Chines know that their real enemy is the US .

T the threat from Stolltenberg when he said that because China had refused to join Nato's condemnation of Russia in the Ukraine that Nato would form alliances in the Pacific region against China President Zi remarked :-

YOU WANT US TO HELP YOU FIGHT OUR FRIEND :SO THAT YOU CAN FIGHT US LATER .

The Chinese are too wiley to allow the US to use them in any area to fight Russia . The US will try because the US exploits any internal division in any country they target to cain a foothold . This is at the heart of what is happening in the Ukraine .

We thought we could use the dispute between Russia and China but we and our intelligence service were made to look utter fools .

  7. Geopolitically, Russia's biggest problem is Siberia. One of the last unexploited large geographic resources and practically no people. Considering Russia's 145 million people and declining vs China's 1.4 billion and desperate need for resources, I've always said this was where Russia needed to be concerned not Ukraine. When Russia celebrated the 1860 annexation of Vladivostok around 2017 after the Opium wars and all the territory south connecting to China, China reminded Russia that it was originally theirs and it was noted how the "western powers" including Russia had unfairly exploited China including that "annexation." A treaty was established, but China did so "under the gun" of the relative power of the Russians vs China at the time. Realistically, Russia's interests lie with western allies, not China… I've been saying this for over 20 years… Putin is a dolt. He's looking west when the real danger is in the east. But China likely will have no need to physically take it and nukes kind of rule out any conventional take over, but the economic weakness of Russia and lack of people is already allowing Chinese interests to move into the area. They may just slowly absorb it over time until a point comes where it is a defacto takeover…with 20 Chinese for every Russian…
