  1. Amazing content as always! What I would love to see from you though is a short video about how to get started with the Doom community, i.e. what programs I should download etc. I played religiously as a kid in the 90s (thanks to my Dad. I still the original Doom 2 handbook somewhere) but don't know what I need to be able to play in the modern age, like you play – smooth mouse and keyboard etc. I hear about things like ZDoom, GZDoom, PRBoom, Vanilla, Chocolate etc. and I don't understand any of it! A video for newbies would be great!

(or, if you've already done this and I'm just super blind, a link to that video would be amazing, thank you!)

  2. That room with the Archviles is a bit painful I think even you'd admit Decino 🙂

You have to think, would you look forward to that part. yourself, as it is?

In my humble opinion, once you solve the cute little 'shoot the Archvile and hit the switch only when in his pain state' once, that's the puzzle

A one off, it's clever but not sure it needs repetition with no need to watch your back even for approaching monsters while you patiently work…

Some nice looking maps here though but as an ex game tester my instincts were buzzing at that room lol

  3. Man, you are becoming a solid and talented mapmaker, congrats! That leap of faith was incredible.
An incredible set of levels, well done. Maybe, you ought to try convincing cyriak to join, feels like a project he may contribute something really good.
Have to say, MAP15 has some commercial WADs vibes as well. Corridors in the area of the raising/lowering platforms (with watery walls) reminded of something similar from that strange Evilution map, and the throne (which is just a throne, of course) — the one from MAP31 of the same WAD by Casali. But anyway, they are all unique and charming.

P.S. CBT jokes are the best, the comment section should stop breaking your balls…
P.P.S. Seems there was a data breach on Doomworld, check if some of you have been pwned, maybe is a good idea to change the password, especially if you don't have a unique one

  4. BTW, only after re-watching a couple of times I noticed that you pick up the remaining armor bonuses on 1:11:46 but the funniest part is that you say "… no, I didn't" at the exact moment when the screen flashes on picking up those items. I would have thought you meant that you found and grabbed them if you didn't keep looking for them and get confused when noticed that they are already picked up. xD

  5. Wasn't episode 1 the one where you need to play on Nightmare or some barrel shenanigans make it so you can't beat the first map? It's been half a year, can't remember.

Either way, cool stuff, love it.
