Nosferatu is an upcoming American gothic horror film written and directed by Robert Eggers and starring Bill Skarsgård as the titular vampire. Following Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979), it is the second remake of the 1922 German Expressionist film of the same name written by Henrik Galeen and directed by F. W. Murnau, which in turn is an “unauthorized and unofficial” adaptation of Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel Dracula.

Ugh, Robert eggeres is such a great director but such a pompous Hollywood out of touch LA tool. “Men’s misogyny to women because blah blah blah”. I hate because they’re seeing something horrific & unexplainable in a time of the early 19th century is toxic masculinity & misogyny? These ppl just can’t help but shit on us for no reason at every direction. And they wonder why men lean right overwhelmingly 😂
Orlock basically groomed her since childhood. There is a scene where she tells him "How could you, I was only a child". It was a sadistic connection that needed to be broken.

I wanted to pipe in and say that I really enjoyed this movie. I’ve loved everything Eggers has put out, and I can’t wait to see what is next!
I was disappointed when he didn’t burst into flame when the sun hit him at first.
But the way it progressed turned into one of the most memorable death scenes in a horror movie.
The roar with the blood gushing from all over! Never seen anything like it.
Loved it , and everyone I went with loved it.

In law's favorite movies are the original and other Nosferatu's. He thought this movie was amazing, stayed true mostly and is now adding it to his rotation. For the people saying if you haven't seen the original or if this is your first vampire movie you'll like it??? Just admit to yourself you don't like the movie for other reasons but this movie is one of the best things to come out this year.

This is the best time for a movie like this in Hollywood. Not for the ticktock minded fools. It’s like a moving horror painting. Haunting. Dreadful. Yet…. Gorgeous.

Orlock pulled a heath ledger joker mov reminds me of the video tape when joker says “batman must take off his mask and turn himself in everyday he doesn’t people will die.”
I like to think of this story as a cautionary tail of what greed/gluttony/addiction can turn you into. Nosferatu met his death because he was so preoccupied with his bloodlust. Not only that but it completely blinded his eyes to see how evil and callsced his heart had become.
The ending is unsatisfying. The end does not justify the means. Betraying one's marriage vows to save everyone may be a moral dilemma, but Ellen still chose wrongly. The notion that one can defeat evil by marrying it or giving in to it is just wrong.
finally seeing what happens to Her Knock in the movie, in the office scene dispatching Thomas we hear his mind slipping with Orloks hold on him, as he makes the joke about Ellen being a SILF, and giggling about it.
The look they gave the antagonist yields like no one seen in cinematic history except Jim Carey’s Lemony Snickets with a Burt Reynolds Stache!!! Really??
It was a beautiful and disturbing film. At the core of it all, it was a love story and self-sacrifice. I love it!!
I was looking forward to it and it really let me down.
One of the best things in this movie was that leopard print dress. Never thought I'd see this print in this type of era film.
I liked this Nosferatu but it doesn't beat Bram Stokers Dracula. But I will say Depp and Hoult were absolutely amazing in this film.

She was very clearly afflicted with excess sexual desires and lust. It was implied that she gave into these desires before getting married (masterbation, sleeping around, etc), and she was like this since a young age. This is why her terrors went away after she got married; she devoted herself to a man and marriage. She also made a comment to her husband “you could never please me like he could”. The “he” in this case, was sexual desire and masterbation, and more symbolically, Nosferatu himself. This is also why Nosferatu went after her marriage and conned her husband into signing divorce papers. Their marriage was a holy union and Nosferatu was clearly unholy.
